Every year, social support in the capital covers more than 187 thousand citizens. Among them are old–age pensioners, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, people with disabilities, disabled children, large families, mothers awarded with Altyn alka and Kumis alka pendants, as well as low-income citizens, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
It turns out that social assistance in the form of one-time cash payments on holidays and significant dates. About 165 thousand residents of the city receive this type of assistance. More than 140 thousand people receive free services by decision of local representative bodies – this is social assistance for children with disabilities, tuition fees at universities, social assistance for the purchase of solid fuel, for connecting gasification, providing free pre-prosthetic sanitation of the oral cavity and dental prosthetics, free travel, for utilities, targeted social assistance.
For example, since the beginning of the year, 1,500 families in need have been provided with food packages in the Baikonur district as part of the Marathon of Good Deeds campaign with the support of Qazaq oil. With the support of sponsors, a family from socially vulnerable segments of the population was provided with 120 tons of coal, these are: old-age pensioners, people with disabilities living in private residential buildings with stove heating, large families and others.
As part of the "Road to School" campaign, 1,200 students of the district's schools were given the necessary pre-school certificates.
At the same time, special attention is paid to social support for motherhood and childhood. About 34,248 large families live in the capital, of which 27,000 are families with 4 or more minor children. 7,088 mothers were awarded the Altyn alka and Kumis alka pendant.
Today, TSA receives more than 2,424 Astana families, which include more than 12 thousand people.
At the same time, the Zhanuya Family Institute Support Center is operating in Astana, which combines public services and provides them on the principle of "one window". Since the beginning of the year, over 35,000 people have applied here for more than 37,000 questions.
