Amir Omarkhanov from Karaganda became the winner of the prestigious ITF Juniors J500 Orange Bowl doubles tournament. Today, the athlete from Karaganda is considered the first racket of Kazakhstan under the age of 18.
In the final of the competition, Omarkhanov, paired with Russian Timofey Deripaska, won a strong-willed victory over the duo of Henri Bernaud (Switzerland) and Denis Petak (Czech Republic) with an account 3:6, 6:1, 10:1.
The Orange Bowl is held annually in Plantation (Florida, USA). The tournament is considered an unofficial World Junior Championship. Matches are played on outdoor courts, the surface is green ground.
