Artem Antropov from Karaganda became the world champion in weightlifting. In the weight category up to 102 kg, he showed an impressive result in the combined total of 400 kg (170 kg in the snatch and 230 kg in the clean and jerk).
The international championship was held in Manama (Bahrain). For 24-year-old Artem Antropov, this triumph was especially important, as he returned to the international stage after a 16-month suspension due to a very dubious doping scandal that deprived the athlete of the opportunity to compete at the Olympics in Paris.
In a tense fight, Antropov beat Qatari Fares Elbach, who scored 399 kg (174+225), and Spaniard Marcos Ruiz, who finished the competition with a total of 395 kg (183+212).

In the final match, the champion of Asia 2023, Kazakhstan 2022-2024, the winner of the World Championship 2023 Egor Zheltov defeated a fighter from Tajikistan. In the age group of 16-17 years, the Kazakhstan team took the first team place.
