A humane approach to stray dogs is being introduced in Shymkent 27.09.2025
In modern society, the problem of stray animals is relevant for many megacities. Shymkent is no exception. Although the appearance of stray dogs on the streets has caused concern among residents, a humane and effective decision has been made regarding them. Since 2025, in order to introduce a humane approach to stray dogs in Shymkent, work has begun to release animals that have passed the city's hunting service back into their natural environment. This step is aimed at ensuring the safety of society and taking care of animals. Animals that have been captured are subject to a number of mandatory veterinary measures. These include: Neutering is a key procedure to prevent uncontrolled animal reproduction. This method allows you to reduce the number of stray dogs in a natural, but humane way. Rabies vaccination ensures that dogs do not transmit dangerous diseases to humans. This is an important step in protecting the health of city residents. Microchipping is when each animal has its own personal data recorded and entered into a special database. This is necessary to prevent them from getting lost on the streets again. All dogs are given blue, green or red ear tags. This means that they have undergone a special program and are not dangerous. Therefore, residents should not be afraid of dogs with ear tags. By adopting this measure, the city authorities abandoned the practice of simply hunting and destroying dogs. Previously, such actions were criticized by the public. Now the main goal is to reduce the number of animals in a humane way . This practice is successfully implemented in many countries. For example, in countries such as Turkey, Georgia, and Romania, stray dogs are sterilized, vaccinated, and then released back into the wild. Over time, this method has allowed for a steady reduction in the number of animals on city streets. Protecting animals is not only the responsibility of the authorities or veterinarians. Every resident must feel responsible for society. The root of the problem is the uncontrolled breeding of pets and the fact that puppies are thrown out onto the streets. This is a consequence of human negligence. Things to note for residents: If you keep pets, it is necessary to control their reproduction. After you have adopted a dog or cat, you should not throw the puppies out onto the street. This is both legally and morally wrong. Cruelty to stray animals is strictly prohibited. Dogs with ear tags are safe and do not harm city residents. Thus, only when goodness and responsibility in society come together will the problem be solved permanently. The city administration and police officers support this initiative and are conducting explanatory work among residents. Kindness and care for animals are a reflection of a civilized society . The level of development of any country is also reflected in the attitude of people towards animals. Teaching children to respect animals is the only way to create a better society in the future, free from violence. To this end, special educational classes are being organized in schools and charity events with the participation of volunteers. A special appeal was made to the city's residents: If you see a dog with earrings on the street, don't be afraid. It poses no danger to humans. Even if your dog doesn't have a collar, don't throw rocks at it or hit it in any way. This can cause the animal to become aggressive. If you see an injured or weakened animal, you should contact the city veterinary service. The understanding and patience of every citizen is the guarantee of the safety and well-being of our city. The humane stray dog control program launched in Shymkent is an important initiative that demonstrates the cultural level of society. This measure, combining animal protection and public safety, will lead to positive results in the long term. Thanks to the coordinated work of city services, the understanding and responsibility of residents, there is every chance to solve the problem of stray animals in the same way as in civilized countries. Let us remember: only a society that is kind to animals can be a truly developed society .
Shymkent rescuers supported the "Clean Shore" campaign. 27.09.2025
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a large-scale project, "30 Good Deeds," is being held nationwide. Its goal is to unite the efforts of government agencies, public organizations, and ordinary citizens in the pursuit of good initiatives aimed at the benefit of society. As part of this project, on September 27, 2025, employees of the Shymkent Department of Emergency Situations took part in the environmental campaign "Clean Shore." The main idea of the event was to clear the riverbed and banks of the Koshkar-Ata River, which is not only a source of water but also a historical and cultural symbol of the city, of debris. The Koshkar-Ata River occupies a special place in the lives of Shymkent residents. It originates in the city center and has served as a source of water for residents for centuries. Beyond its practical value, the river is an important cultural heritage site, a true calling card for the metropolis. Unfortunately, with population growth, increasing numbers of vacationers, and increasing amounts of household waste, the river's cleanliness is under threat. This is why the "Clean Shore" campaign has become especially relevant. That day, Shymkent Emergency Department personnel went to the riverbed and split into teams. Each team was responsible for its own section of the bank. Armed with gloves, garbage bags, and specialized equipment, the rescuers began cleaning the area. Particular attention was paid to public recreation areas. These areas, where people most often congregate, accumulated the most plastic bottles, bags, broken glass, and other trash. All waste was collected in separate bags for disposal by municipal services. Despite the challenging nature of the work, the participants were enthusiastic about the event. Many noted that such events not only make the city cleaner but also foster team building and instill in young employees a sense of responsibility for the common cause. After the cleanup was completed, representatives of the Department of Emergency Situations appealed to city residents to protect nature and keep the area clean. "Environmental protection isn't the sole responsibility of environmentalists or rescue workers. It's our shared duty. Each of us must ensure our native places remain clean. If we clean up after ourselves and respect the environment, the city will become even more beautiful, and our children will grow up in a healthy environment," the participants emphasized. These words resonated with the city's residents, many of whom expressed a desire to join similar events in the future. The event organizers reminded that developing an environmental culture begins with the simplest things—not throwing paper on the ground, picking up trash, and treating plants and animals with care. The cleanliness of the Koshkar-Ata River is crucial not only to Shymkent's aesthetic appeal. It directly impacts the quality of life of city residents, the preservation of biodiversity, and even the city's air quality. Emergency Department staff noted that environmental protection is closely linked to safety. Polluted water bodies can become a source of disease, and clogged riverbeds can cause flooding during floods. Therefore, maintaining a clean environment also means preventing emergencies. The republic-wide "30 Good Deeds" project encompasses more than just environmental activities. It includes dozens of initiatives, including assistance to socially vulnerable families, playground improvements, support for educational institutions, and charitable events. Each such initiative aims to improve the lives of society and demonstrate that the strength of the state and the people lies in unity and good deeds. The participation of Shymkent rescuers in the "Clean Shore" campaign has become a shining example of this program. The campaign demonstrated that every person's work matters. Thanks to the efforts of the Emergency Situations Department staff, a significant section of the river was cleaned, restored to its original appearance, and reminded residents of the importance of caring for nature. Shymkent rescuers have proven that their mission extends far beyond their professional duties. Beyond ensuring safety and saving lives, they are willing to contribute to developing environmental awareness, fostering a conscious society, and instilling respect for the environment. "Clean Shore" isn't a one-time event, but part of a larger process to improve the environmental situation and foster a healthy attitude toward nature among city residents. Such initiatives should be carried out regularly, engaging as many residents as possible. Shymkent rescuers have shown by example that everyone can contribute to keeping their homeland clean. The future of the city and the health of our children depend on how responsibly we treat the environment. Maintaining an ecological culture is an investment in the well-being and health of future generations!
Shymkent rescuers support the "Clean Coast" campaign 27.09.2025
Within the framework of the republican project "30 Good Deeds" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, various charitable, social and environmental events are being organized in different parts of the country. This initiative is aimed at promoting socially beneficial activities and increasing the social responsibility of the population. As evidence of this, on September 27, 2025, employees of the Emergency Situations Department of Shymkent actively participated in the environmental campaign "Clean Coast". The main goal of this event is to clean the channel of the Koshkar Ata River, one of the city's favorite places and a natural resource, to rid the banks of garbage, and to promote environmental culture among the population. The Koshkar Ata River is one of the most important natural features of Shymkent. It is not only a river with ancient history, but also a symbol of the spiritual and cultural image of the city. The river flows from its source, cuts through the center of the city and is closely connected with the daily life of thousands of residents. However, factors such as urbanization, population growth, and uncontrolled disposal of household waste threaten the cleanliness of the river. Taking this into account, rescuers took on the "Clean Coast" campaign with special responsibility in order to contribute to environmental protection. They walked along the riverbed, collecting plastic bottles, broken glass, waste paper, and other household garbage and putting them in special bags. Dozens of employees of the Shymkent Emergency Situations Department were involved in the action. Rescuers proved in practice that their main task is not only to ensure the safety of the population, but also to protect the environment and set an example for the population. During the event, employees were divided into groups, each of which took on the task of cleaning a certain area. Among them were both experienced specialists and young employees. Young specialists, looking at the hard work of the older generation, felt the importance of environmental responsibility. At the end of the campaign, representatives of the Emergency Situations Department made a special appeal to the city's residents. They noted that protecting nature is the duty of every citizen, not only of environmental agencies and rescuers. Each person's contribution is a guarantee that future generations will live in a clean and safe environment. "Protecting nature is our common duty. If each of us, when relaxing along our rivers and lakes, picks up our trash and treats natural resources with respect, we can significantly improve the environmental situation. The Koshkar Ata River is not just a source of water, it is a part of our history and culture," said one of the rescuers who participated in the action. Preservation of ecological culture is not just a slogan, it is a principle that should become a daily lifestyle for every person. Careful attention to nature directly affects a person's own health and quality of life. For example, the purity of river water affects the quality of drinking water, and the abundance of greenery affects air circulation in the city. For the residents of Shymkent, the Koshkar Ata River not only brings aesthetic pleasure, but is also a key part of the ecological balance. Therefore, if events such as the "Clean Coast" campaign are organized regularly, they will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the city's ecology. It is known that this campaign is part of the "30 Good Deeds" project dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the project, various good deeds are being carried out in different regions of the country. These include providing assistance to orphanages, supporting socially vulnerable groups, organizing Sabbaths, and environmental protection measures. Such a large-scale initiative mobilizes society to do good and increases unity. The contribution of the Shymkent Emergency Situations Department employees to the "Clean Coast" campaign has become an important part of this large-scale project. This action has demonstrated their readiness to benefit society beyond their professional activities. The "Clean Coast" campaign is an important step that demonstrates the care of Shymkent rescuers for nature, the city, and future generations. Through their work, they not only cleaned the riverbed of garbage, but also set an example for the city's residents, conveying the importance of environmental culture. Protecting nature is the duty of every citizen. If each of us gets used to keeping our surroundings clean and not throwing garbage around, then not only Shymkent, but our entire country will undoubtedly become a green and clean state. Preservation of ecological culture is a contribution to the well-being and health of future generations!
Shymkent residents, together with public utilities, cleaned up the courtyards of apartment buildings. 25.09.2025
In Shymkent, systematic efforts to strengthen the public's environmental awareness and improve the city's sanitary conditions continue. The latest highlight in this effort was the traditional "Clean Thursday" (Taza Beysenbi) event, which took place on September 25, 2025, in the Turlan district of the city. The event was organized by party structures, including city and district branches, as well as activists from the youth wing of "Zhastar Rukhy." They were joined by utility workers, street cleaners, representatives of property management companies, and residents of nearby buildings. In total, more than 50 people participated in the event, each contributing to the cleanup of the area. Particular attention was paid to the courtyards of apartment buildings, where the largest amount of household waste accumulates during everyday life. Residents note that such events not only help maintain cleanliness but also instill a sense of responsibility among city residents for the well-being of their hometown. During the event, participants collected dozens of bags of household waste, which was promptly removed by municipal services. Weeding, pruning dead branches, and trimming shrubs were also carried out, giving the courtyards a more tidy appearance. Particular attention was paid to improving the playgrounds: swings and benches were repainted, sandboxes were cleared of debris, and the condition of play structures was inspected. Some volunteers repaired and painted hardscape elements, making the courtyards more attractive and safer for children. Additionally, during the campaign, utility workers cleaned trash cans, repaired several broken benches, and updated lighting in certain areas. Thus, the work encompassed not only cleaning but also creating a comfortable urban environment. The active participation of young people, including student and school associations, became a key focus of the campaign. Representatives of "Zhastar Ruhi" emphasized that fostering environmental awareness in the younger generation should begin with simple yet meaningful steps—participation in collective cleanups, waste separation, and respect for nature. Young participants noted that such events provide an opportunity to feel a sense of belonging to the city's life. Furthermore, they provide a platform for communication, sharing experiences, and developing new ideas for improving the urban environment. Local authorities expressed gratitude to all participants and emphasized that efforts to foster environmental awareness among the population will continue. Shymkent has a comprehensive plan for the improvement of courtyards and public spaces, including regular cleanup days, greening campaigns, and sanitation activities. The city administration notes that the strength of such initiatives lies in the combined efforts of residents, government agencies, utilities, and businesses. Only through joint action can sustainable results be achieved and the city become truly livable. Beyond directly improving the sanitary conditions of the area, the "Clean Thursday" campaign has an important educational value. It demonstrates that maintaining cleanliness and order is not only the responsibility of public utilities, but also the responsibility of every resident. The organizers are confident that public involvement in such initiatives will eventually lead to a reduction in household pollution. The more city residents recognize the value of a clean environment, the fewer cases of illegal littering and littering will occur. There are plans to expand the scope of such initiatives in the future. Specifically, the idea of holding environmental quests, competitions among courtyards and schools for the best improvement project, and organizing waste sorting workshops is being discussed. All this will consolidate the positive impact and take the city's environmental improvement efforts to a new level. Residents of the Turlansky District who participated in the event noted that such events not only beautify the city but also bring people together. They said working together helps them feel a sense of responsibility for the shared space and strengthens the spirit of community. Many parents expressed joy that their children were able to participate in the campaign and experience firsthand the value of teamwork for the benefit of society. This became an important lesson in environmental awareness for the younger generation. Thus, the "Clean Thursday" event, which took place on September 25, 2025, in Shymkent, further confirmed that systematic efforts to improve the urban environment are impossible without the active participation of citizens. More than 50 people, through their joint efforts, made the courtyards of the Turlan district cleaner, more comfortable, and safer. This event once again emphasized that the city's future depends on every resident. Environmental awareness is shaped by concrete actions, and the "Taza Beysenbi" campaign is a shining example of how collaborative efforts can transform urban spaces.
Shymkent residents, together with the municipal services, put the courtyards of apartment buildings in order 25.09.2025
The traditional "Clean Thursday" campaign continues in Shymkent to protect the environment, increase environmental culture among residents, and clean up the city. At the next clean-up event, held on September 25, 2025, city residents, party branch employees, youth organizations, and representatives of the municipal sector joined forces and participated in a common cause. This time, the cleaning work took place in the courtyards of multi-storey residential buildings in the Turan district. More than 50 people were involved in the action. Among them were employees of the city and district branches of the party, activists of the youth wing "Zhastar Ruhy", as well as utility workers. According to the organizers, "Clean Thursday" is not a one-day campaign, but a systematic event aimed at explaining the importance of cleanliness to city residents and forming an ecological culture. The main result of such work is the formation of a habit of cleanliness among residents. A number of activities were carried out during the campaign. First, the participants collected garbage scattered around the yard and took it to special garbage dumps. Plastic bottles, plastic bags, and household waste were collected separately and sent to special places for recycling. In addition, untidy grass was cut, bushes and trees were put in order. Trees near multi-storey buildings were whitewashed and young seedlings were planted. This work will not only improve the beauty of the yard, but also contribute to the creation of a green zone that is favorable for the health of residents. Children's playgrounds were also given attention. Participants helped paint playground benches and repair broken equipment. In some yards, sports fields were put in order, and nets and gates were renewed. Residents who participated in the campaign noted that such initiatives are very important for society. Gulnar Apay, a resident of Turan district: "This event gives us a lot of examples. Our children will grow up seeing the importance of cleanliness. If every resident keeps their yard clean, the whole city will be beautiful," he says. Erkin, an activist of the youth wing of the "Zhastar Ruhy": "We don't just collect garbage, we promote environmental culture among the population. The commitment of young people to nature protection is the key to the future," he shared his thoughts. Utility workers also worked alongside residents and actively participated in landscaping their yards. Cleanliness in the city is important not only for its beauty, but also for the health of residents. Scattered garbage and unkempt yards can become hotbeds of various diseases. Therefore, such campaigns bring great benefits to society. In addition, the "Clean Thursday" campaign increases the environmental responsibility of residents. It explains that city cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen, not just municipal services. Ecological culture means treating nature with compassion, properly disposing of household waste, protecting greenery, and keeping public places clean. Such common observances are of great importance in forming such skills. This campaign was not only a clean-up effort, but also a way to bring people together and increase solidarity. Citizens working in various fields, young and old, government employees and entrepreneurs - everyone worked together. As a result of joint work, respect and understanding between people were strengthened, and the idea that "cleanliness is a common cause" was formed. This was an important step towards increasing the unity of society. According to the organizers, such actions will continue in the future. Every Thursday, cleaning activities will be carried out in various districts of the city in a planned manner. This traditional initiative will encourage city residents to be constantly active and contribute to the sustainable formation of an ecological culture. In general, cleanliness measures not only improve the aesthetic appearance of the city, but also improve the quality of life of residents. Clean and well-groomed courtyards create favorable conditions for children to play and for the elderly to walk. The "Clean Thursday" campaign held in Shymkent is a noble initiative aimed at protecting the environment, preserving the health of residents, and improving the beauty of the city. The work of each citizen participating in the campaign is an important contribution to the cleanliness and comfort of the city. This event is not a one-time event, but an important step that will make society think, educate people, and call for unity. Making Shymkent clean and beautiful is our common task. "Clean Thursday" will remain a major initiative on this path.

During the event, police conducted outreach to residents, explaining waste disposal rules, the need to respect green spaces, and adhere to environmental regulations. Such discussions help foster legal and environmental awareness among residents. The campaign became truly popular. It plays an important social role, bringing people together and fostering a sense of solidarity. When police officers, students, teachers, and entrepreneurs work side by side, it fosters trust and mutual understanding. Moreover, the campaign has an educational value. The younger generation learns to respect the work of others, value order, and protect the environment. Such experiences are reinforced and become a lasting habit. The organizers of the Clean City campaign emphasized that this is not a one-time event. Such activities will continue regularly, as maintaining cleanliness requires ongoing effort. The results of the work are clear: streets and courtyards are cleaner, parks are more well-maintained, and playgrounds and sports fields are safer. Residents now have a renewed and improved environment for rest and leisure. The protest demonstrated that the city's future depends on every resident. If everyone maintains order and preserves public spaces, Shymkent will become an even more beautiful, comfortable, and safe place to live.

Because the appearance of the city and the health of its residents are directly related to each of us's responsibility to protect nature. "Clean City" is a reflection of a clean society.
The Aganay Fish Farm – the Beginning of New Opportunities 26.09.2025
The Kazygurt District has always been renowned for its natural resources and favorable conditions for agricultural development. For many years, agriculture and livestock farming have been successfully practiced here. However, in recent years, attention has been focused on other promising areas, particularly the development of fisheries. This industry is considered economically profitable and socially significant, as it provides the population with high-quality produce, creates jobs, and improves well-being. Recently, District Akim Azizkhan Ismailov visited the village of Akbastau in the Sharbulak rural district on a working visit, where he learned about the operations of the Aganay fish farm . The purpose of the visit was to review the current status of the enterprise, assess its potential, and identify future development paths. The Aganay farm already makes a significant contribution to the district's economy. It breeds fish species such as carp, grass carp, silver carp, and silver carp. All of these fish are raised in an ecologically clean environment, in natural waters, which positively impacts the quality of the products. Fish raised in natural conditions boasts excellent taste, making them popular with consumers. However, the farm's activities are not limited to production alone. It has become a source of stable income for local residents. Currently, the enterprise employs dozens of villagers, who enjoy steady employment and a secure future. Thus, the farm achieves two goals simultaneously: providing the population with a healthy product and maintaining social stability. During his working visit, District Akim Azizkhan Ismailov met with the company's employees and discussed their plans and prospects. In his speech, he noted: "Fisheries are the future of our agricultural sector. They contribute to agricultural diversification, strengthen food security, and develop export potential. We, for our part, are ready to support such initiatives." According to the akim, the state provides a wide range of tools for agricultural development: subsidies, preferential loans, and specialist consultations. If these support measures are used correctly, the Aganai farm will be able to significantly expand production and reach new levels. One of the main goals for the future is to expand the range of products. Currently, the farm primarily sells live fish. However, plans include producing finished products: fillets, smoked and dried fish, as well as canned goods. This range will allow it to enter new markets and attract more customers. The district akim particularly emphasized the need to develop this area: "Expanding the product line will allow the company to strengthen its market position and open up export opportunities. We will support such initiatives and help them find new sales channels." The proximity of the Kazygurt district to Shymkent creates favorable conditions for logistics. A well-developed transportation network allows for both domestic supply and export. In the future, the Aganay farm may enter the markets of Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Developing an export-oriented business will bring tangible benefits: increased business revenues, increased tax revenues, and the creation of new jobs. All of this will positively impact the socioeconomic situation in the region. During the visit, it was noted that local authorities are ready to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs. This includes not only financial assistance, but also assistance with land allocation, infrastructure development, consulting, and marketing support. The district akim called on businessmen to more actively implement new projects: "We're ready to work in partnership. If an entrepreneur has the desire and initiative, we'll work together to resolve all organizational issues." One of the Aganay farm's main achievements is job creation. Most of the company's employees are residents of the village of Akbastau. For them, this is an opportunity to work close to home and provide a stable income for their families. In the future, as production volumes increase, the number of jobs will grow. This will reduce the outflow of young people to cities and give people the opportunity to develop in their home villages. The Aganay fish farm in the Kazygurt district is an example of how new business opportunities can be successfully developed in rural areas. It not only supplies the market with high-quality products but also creates conditions for the socioeconomic development of the district. A working visit by District Akim Azizkhan Ismailov gave new impetus to the farm's development. Specific recommendations were made for expanding its product range, expanding into export markets, and improving operational efficiency. Implementing these proposals will allow Aganay to become a flagship fishery not only in the Kazygurt District but throughout the entire region. Thus, “Aganay” can truly be called the beginning of new opportunities – both for the enterprise and for the entire region.
"Aganai" fishery - the beginning of new opportunities 26.09.2025
Kazygurt district is distinguished by its natural wealth and favorable conditions for agriculture. In recent years, in addition to traditional crop and livestock farming, priority has been given to the development of fishing in the district. This is an economically profitable industry that provides the local population with a stable income. Recently, the district akim Azizkhan Ismailov paid a working visit to the village of Akbastau in the Sharbulak rural district and got acquainted with the work of the "Aganai" fish farm located there. The purpose of this visit is to get to know the current state of the enterprise and determine its future development directions. The "Aganai" fish farm is one of the enterprises that currently contributes to the economy of the region. Here, mainly such fish species as carp, carp, white grass carp and bream are bred. These fish are bred in ecologically clean conditions, in natural water sources. The main advantage of the farm is the quality of the product. After all, fish grown in a natural environment has a higher taste, which in turn increases consumer confidence. Fishing is not limited to just producing products. It provides employment to local residents and contributes to improving their social situation. Currently, dozens of villagers have permanent jobs here. Thanks to the work carried out throughout the year, they provide their families with income. During the visit, the head of the district, Azizkhan Ismailov, met with the employees of the enterprise and listened to their suggestions and opinions. In his speech, he noted the great prospects of the fishery, saying: "This sector is an important direction aimed at diversifying agriculture, ensuring food security, and increasing export potential. Therefore, we fully support entrepreneurs ," he said. According to the akim, it is necessary to effectively use the support mechanisms provided by the state to agriculture. These include subsidies, soft loans, and scientific and technical consulting services. By properly using these opportunities, the production volume of the "Aganai" farm can be increased several times. One of the directions of development of fish farming is to increase the range of products. Currently, the farm is mainly engaged in the sale of live fish. In the future, it is planned to produce finished products, that is, fish fillets, dried, smoked or canned varieties. The demand for such products is high not only in our country, but also in foreign markets. The district head emphasized this direction: "By increasing the range of products, the farm will not only strengthen its position in the market, but will also have the opportunity to export. We fully support these initiatives ," he said. Kazygurt district, located close to the city of Shymkent, is convenient from a logistical point of view. The development of road and transport infrastructure allows exporting fish products not only to the territory of the republic, but also to neighboring countries. If production volumes increase, it is quite possible to enter the markets of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan. The export sector will not only increase the income of local farms, but also bring additional income to the regional economy. This will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the social situation of rural residents. During the visit, it was noted that the district akimat will provide comprehensive support for the development of local entrepreneurship. This includes not only financial assistance, but also measures such as land allocation, infrastructure improvement, and marketing support. The head of the district, Azizkhan Ismailov, called on entrepreneurs to take a bold step: "The akimat is always ready to implement new projects. The main thing is trust and enthusiasm, and we will solve the remaining issues together ," he said. One of the main achievements of the "Aganai" farm is the provision of permanent employment to the villagers. The majority of those working at the enterprise are residents of the Akbastau village. This is a great support for the village, because many citizens work in their native places and support their families. In the future, as production increases, new jobs will be created. This will reduce the process of moving from villages to cities and create conditions for young people to work in their villages. The "Aganai" fish farm in the Kazygurt district is the beginning of new opportunities. The development of this enterprise will make a significant contribution to the economy of the district, the social situation of the population, and the prosperity of the agricultural sector in general. The specific tasks and proposals given during the district akim's visit will undoubtedly give impetus to the development of the farm. If in the future plans such as increasing the range of products, entering export, and creating new jobs are implemented, "Aganai" will certainly become the pride of not only Kazygurt, but also the entire region.
Comfortable Environment Development Department: Work continues on improving the city's main streets. 26.09.2025
The beauty and comfort of any city begin with its streets. Cleanliness, green spaces, and a comfortable urban environment directly impact the mood of residents and visitors. That's why Shymkent is systematically implementing improvements and landscaping. The Comfortable Environment Development Department plays a key role in this process, implementing large-scale projects to create modern and green public spaces. Landscaping work has begun today in the Shymcity microdistrict on three streets, covering a total area of 70,000 square meters . This is one of the largest projects of the year, covering key areas where large numbers of people move daily. The improvement project is being implemented in stages. At the initial stage, specialists carried out preparatory engineering work: they studied the soil composition and applied fertilizers and organic materials to improve its fertility. All of this is necessary to ensure that the plants take root well and thrive. The next step was tree planting. Tree species adapted to the local climate were selected: elm, maple, and birch. Ornamental conifers—juniper, spruce, and pine—were also used. They not only beautify the streets but also add variety to the greenery. Particular attention has been paid to the creation of flower beds and the laying of lawns. To ensure green spaces don't suffer from heat and drought, an automatic irrigation system has been installed on each street. This will ensure timely watering of plants and maintain their healthy appearance. Street greening plays an important role not only from an aesthetic perspective but also from an environmental perspective. According to experts, a single tree can absorb up to 100 kilograms of carbon dioxide per year. Therefore, the more trees planted, the cleaner the air in the city will be. On hot summer days, the shade of trees will be a real salvation for city residents. Benches installed along green areas will become comfortable resting spots. Flower beds and neatly trimmed lawns will provide aesthetic pleasure, and the street atmosphere will become more comfortable and friendly. Thus, the work carried out by the Department for the Development of a Comfortable Environment is aimed at improving the quality of life of Shymkent residents. To ensure high-quality landscaping, public monitoring of the work has been established. Special task forces are checking that trees are planted correctly, that technology is being followed, and that all technical requirements are being met. Local residents are also actively expressing their opinions. For example, Gulmira, a resident of the Shymcity microdistrict, shared her impressions: "It used to be a dreary place to walk on these streets—no shade, no greenery. Now that they've started planting trees, it's clear they'll soon be beautiful and comfortable. I'm especially pleased that children will have somewhere to play outdoors. I hope this kind of work continues ," she said. Several contractors are involved in the project. Each company is responsible for a specific section of the street. All work is financed from the city budget. Management representatives emphasize that spending is strictly monitored, and transparency is a key principle. Workers begin their day early in the morning and work until late in the evening. The design and estimate documentation includes not only landscaping but also the installation of lighting, benches, trash cans, and other amenities. The main work is scheduled for completion by the end of this year. Shymkent is one of the largest cities in Kazakhstan, and its population is growing annually. Therefore, creating a comfortable and environmentally friendly urban environment is particularly important. Residents need not only roads and buildings, but also clean, green streets where they can enjoy spending time. The Comfortable Environment Development Department's immediate plans include expanding similar projects to other neighborhoods. Particular attention will be paid to areas near schools, kindergartens, and residential complexes. This will help foster a love of cleanliness and nature in the younger generation from an early age. Street improvement is more than just planting trees or laying lawns. It's a comprehensive effort aimed at improving the quality of life for city residents and creating an environmentally friendly and modern urban environment. An example of this approach is the project in the Shymcity microdistrict, where three streets are being landscaped over an area of 70,000 square meters. The Department for the Development of a Comfortable Environment is consistently implementing programs to transform Shymkent into one of the greenest and most comfortable cities in the country. Residents eagerly await the completion of the work and believe that the new green spaces will become a symbol of a renewed city in which people want to live, work, and relax.
Department of Development of a Comfortable Environment: Improvement work on the main streets of our city 26.09.2025
The beauty of the city lies in its greenery and cleanliness. Especially the improvement and landscaping of busy streets affect the mood of both residents and guests of the city. In this regard, a number of systematic works are being carried out in Shymkent by the "Department for the Development of a Comfortable Environment". Currently, the main focus of the department is the beautification of the main streets and the creation of a comfortable environment for residents. Recently, landscaping works have begun on three streets in the Shymsiti microdistrict, with a total area of 70 thousand square meters . This is a significant project both in terms of scale and quality. This is because this area is an active part of the city's population. The beauty of the streets here will have a positive impact not only on the microdistrict, but also on the image of Shymkent as a whole. Landscaping consists of several stages. First, engineering preparation is carried out and the soil composition is studied. Then, high-quality humus and fertilizers are introduced. This allows the plants to take root well and sprout quickly. Then, tree seedlings will be planted along the streets. Among them are trees such as birch, elm, and maple that are adapted to the local climate. In addition, coniferous plants such as juniper and spruce will be planted for decorative purposes. The project also includes not only trees, but also flower beds and lawns. An automated irrigation system will be installed in each green area. This, in turn, will ensure timely watering of the plants and their vigorous growth. Greening the main streets of the city is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also very important from an ecological point of view. According to experts, one tree absorbs an average of 100 kilograms of carbon dioxide per year. Therefore, greening the city will purify the air and have a positive effect on the health of residents. For the people of Shymkent, the shade of trees becomes an indispensable place to relax on hot days. And the territory with decorative flowers and lawns gives aesthetic pleasure to residents and increases the feeling of comfort. Thus, the work undertaken by the Department of Development of a Comfortable Environment is aimed at improving the quality of life of city residents. To ensure transparency in the work, the department has established public oversight. A special team monitors the progress of landscaping, ensuring that seedlings are planted correctly and that technical requirements are met. Residents also provide feedback. Gulmira, a resident of the Shymsiti microdistrict, said she was pleased with these changes: "Previously, it was uncomfortable to walk on these streets. Now, after the trees were planted, there will be shade and an opportunity to relax. Children will also have opportunities to walk in the fresh air. I hope such work continues ," he says. Several contracting companies are involved in the landscaping work. Each of them is responsible for the improvement of a certain section of the street. The total cost of the project is financed from the city budget. The department's specialists say that every penny of the allocated funds is strictly controlled. Workers will work from morning until evening every day. According to the previously prepared design and estimate documents, it is planned to plant trees, plant flowers, lay lawns, install lighting poles and place benches. 80 percent of all work is planned to be completed by the end of the year. Shymkent is one of the largest cities in the country. The population here is growing every year. That is why it is very important to create a comfortable environment. City residents need not only clean air and beautiful scenery, but also a safe and comfortable infrastructure. The Department of Comfortable Environment Development is implementing its projects taking into account these requirements. In the future, representatives of the administration intend to continue similar work in other microdistricts. In particular, priority will be given to planting greenery near residential complexes and schools. Because the growth of the younger generation in a clean and beautiful environment is the basis for the development of future society. The beautification of the main streets of our city is not just planting trees or flowers. It is a comprehensive measure aimed at improving the culture of the city, creating comfortable conditions for residents, and improving the ecological situation. The ongoing landscaping work on 70,000 square meters of three streets in the Shymsiti microdistrict is a clear proof of this. There is confidence that the initiatives of the Department of Comfortable Environment Development will continue in the future, turning Shymkent into one of the greenest and most comfortable cities in the country.
