Kazakhstan and Greece strengthen cooperation in the port and logistics sectors 08.05.2025
Athens, 2 May 2025 — A working meeting between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece, Timur Sultangozhin, and the Deputy Mayor of Piraeus for Foreign Affairs, European Programmes and Tourism, Andriana Zarakeli, took place at the city hall of the port city of Piraeus. The talks focused on further developing Kazakh-Greek cooperation in the transport-and-logistics sector and on strengthening inter-municipal ties between the cities of Piraeus and Aktau.The parties underlined the strategic importance of the ports of Aktau and Piraeus as key logistics hubs on the Caspian Sea–Mediterranean corridor. They noted that the presence of advanced port infrastructure offers wide prospects for cooperation, including the exchange of expertise in port management and the development of logistics routes. In this context, they discussed the possibility of signing, in the future, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the cities of Aktau and Piraeus that would create an institutional framework for expanding the partnership.The meeting also addressed upcoming contacts between the two countries’ ministries of transport and business communities aimed at building long-term interaction in logistics and international trade.Special attention was paid to cultural exchanges and cooperation in the tourism sector. Ambassador T. Sultangozhin confirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to facilitate joint cultural events within the municipality of Piraeus with Kazakh participation. For her part, A. Zarakeli expressed the city authorities’ interest in implementing programmes intended to promote the cultural and historical heritage of both countries.The parties noted that the development of humanitarian and business ties creates a solid foundation for deepening economic cooperation and inter-regional partnership. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Poland Held Political Consultations 08.05.2025
On 28 April 2025, Astana hosted another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Poland.Welcoming the Polish delegation, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko highlighted that Astana regards Warsaw as its important political and economic partner within the European Union. He expressed Kazakhstan’s interest in deepening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.Continuing the consultations, Director of the Europe Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Daniyar Seidaliyev and Director of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Wojciech Zajączkowski discussed a wide range of issues, including the development of political dialogue, the expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.Particular attention was given to the preparation of bilateral events planned for the current year, especially in political and economic areas.The diplomats also exchanged views on key regional and international issues, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation within multilateral frameworks.The head of Polish delegation reiterated Poland’s interest in enhancing mutually beneficial engagement with Kazakhstan across all priority areas.At the conclusion of the consultations, both parties agreed to further maintain a close dialogue between their foreign ministries of the two countries.For reference: Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland in 2024 amounted to 1.12 billion US dollars, including 488.0 million dollars in exports and 639.1 million dollars in imports. Kazakhstan and Ethiopia intend to intensify bilateral trade and economic cooperation 08.05.2025
Addis Ababa, May 2, 2025 - Kazakhstan and Ethiopia plan to increase bilateral trade and economic cooperation. This was discussed at the meeting of H.E. Mr.Barlybay Sadykov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the African Union with H.E. Mr. Kassahun Gofe Balami, Minister of Trade and Regional Integration of Ethiopia.         Ambassador B.Sadykov informed about Kazakhstan's economic achievements, the main approaches of trade and investment policy, Kazakhstan's participation in international and regional economic organizations, transit and transport policy and prospects for developing cooperation with African countries. It was emphasized that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding cooperation with Ethiopia and it was proposed to intensify cooperation between public and private structures of the two countries. The importance of Ethiopia's participation in the Astana International Forum on May 29-30, 2025 was noted.         Mr. Kassahun Gofe Balami, Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, reported on the ongoing reform of Ethiopia's trade and economic policy, improvement of the business climate, stable GDP growth in the country and optimistic forecasts of global financial institutions for economic growth in the country for 2025-2026, as well as the intensification of the Ministry's activities on Ethiopia's accession to the WTO.         Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in order to further develop and expand the export market of Kazakhstan and Ethiopia in accordance with signed in 2004 Roadmap for the development of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Ethiopia. Prospects for Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and UNOPS Discussed in Vienna 08.05.2025
Vienna, May 2, 2025 – The Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to International Organizations in Vienna, Mukhtar Tileuberdi, met with Dr. Simonetta Siligato, the newly appointed Director of the Multi-Country Office of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Vienna.During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current state of cooperation between Kazakhstan and UNOPS and explored opportunities for its further development. Ambassador Mukhtar Tileuberdi spoke about the adoption by the UN General Assembly of a resolution on the establishment of a UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty, and welcomed the decision to open a UNOPS office in Kazakhstan. The parties agreed to expedite the signing of the Agreement on the Legal Status of the UNOPS Office in Kazakhstan.Special attention was given to the implementation of ongoing and planned projects in Kazakhstan and across the Central Asia. Arystanov, Chairman of KazAID, participated in the High Level Conference of Middle Income Countries on ‘Opening New Horizons: Strategic Action Plan for Middle Income Countries’ held in the Republic of the Philippines, Manila.The conference was organized by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the UN Development Coordination Office.The main goal of the event was to discuss the impact of global challenges on the sustainable development of middle-income countries and to develop specific recommendations for shaping a Strategic Action Plan.The discussions brought together representatives of governments, financial and banking institutions, UN development system structures, and the private sector.Also, on the margins of the conference A. Arystanov held a bilateral meeting with the Director of the UN Office for South-South Cooperation D. Al-Khatib, during which the prospects of interaction within the framework of South-South cooperation were discussed. Kazakhstan-UK Intergovernmental Commission Convenes in London 08.05.2025
London, 30 April 2025 – The 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom was held in London. The Kazakh delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UK Magzhan Ilyassov, UK Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kathy Leach, and representatives of relevant ministries, national companies, and quasi-governmental sectors from both countries.The UK side was headed by Douglas Alexander, Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security at the Department for Business and Trade.The parties noted that the signing of the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Kazakhstan and the UK last year has opened new prospects for deepening cooperation in critical minerals, green energy and climate, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, education, and financial partnerships.In his remarks, Deputy Minister Kuantyrov emphasized that the UK is one of Kazakhstan’s key trading partners and top investors, with total FDI exceeding 22 billion US dollars: “We greatly value the UK’s contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s key industries and are committed to building a next-level partnership — focused on investment, technology, and knowledge transfer.”During the meeting, bilateral documents were signed, including the Protocol of the Intergovernmental Commission, a Roadmap for cooperation in agriculture, as well as memorandums on collaboration in water resource management and the localization of biopharmaceuticals in Kazakhstan in partnership with AstraZeneca.The Intergovernmental Commission remains a crucial mechanism for trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom, providing a systematic approach to implementing existing agreements and shaping new areas of strategic engagement.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mfa/press/news/details/988504?lang=kk

About state of the banking sector of Kazakhstan as of April 1, 2025 08.05.2025
As of April 1, 2025, the banking sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan is represented by 21 second-tier banks, including 12 banks with foreign participation, including 9 subsidiary banks.Assets of the banking sector as of April 1, 2025 totaled 62.0 trillion KZT, up by 1.6% in March this year (a 0.7% growth since the beginning of 2025), mainly due to 2.0% expansion of the loan portfolio of banks to 36.7 trillion KZT.Loans to the economy issued by second-tier banks rose by 1.5% in March 2025 to 34.3 trillion KZT (a 1.7% growth since the beginning of 2025). In the structure of loans to the economy, in late March 2025, loans in the national currency increased by 1.4% to 31.6 trillion KZT, in foreign currency they expanded by 2.1% to 2.7 trillion KZT, including due to positive revaluation as a result of KZT devaluation against the USD.Loans to business entities for March 2025 increased by 1.8% to 12.9 trillion KZT (a 1.0% decrease since the beginning of 2025), mainly due to an increase in loans issued for acquisition of working capital by 2.1% to 5.0 trillion KZT. In the structure of business loans, loans to large businesses increased by 10.5% to 5.0 trillion KZT, while loans to SMEs shrank by 5.4% to 5.6 trillion KZT due to loan reclassification by one of the banks between these categories. Loans to individual entrepreneurs widened by 3.1% to 2.4 trillion KZT.In the industry breakdown, in March 2025, an increase in business loans was reported throughout all industries, with the exception of agriculture due to scheduled repayments. In industry, loans inched up by 0.8% to 4.3 trillion KZT, trade – by 2.8% to 3.5 trillion KZT, transport – by 1.7% to 0.9 trillion KZT, information and communications – by 10.5% to 0.2 trillion KZT, construction – by 0.8% to 0.6 trillion KZT.In March 2025, new loans were issued to businesses in the amount of 1.4 trillion KZT, which is 7.5% more compared to March 2024. According to performance for the 1st quarter of 2025, volume of new loans issued to businesses made 3.9 trillion KZT, staying put year-on-year.According to results of March 2025, the average weighted interest rate on loans issued to business entities in national currency rose to 21.6% from 20.9% a month earlier, mainly as a result of an increase in the rate on loans to large businesses from 17.7% to 18.6%. In general, the increase in rates is a consequence of the increase in the base rate by the National Bank in March 2025 from 15.25% to 16.5%.Retail loans made 21.4 trillion KZT, with a 1.3% increase in March 2025 (a 3.5% increase since the beginning of 2025) as a result of a 1.9% increase in consumer loans to 14.4 trillion KZT.In March 2025, the average weighted interest rate on loans issued to the population in KZT rose to 19.7% (in February 2025 – 18.6%) due to an increase in the rate on consumer loans from 19.1% to 20.4%.Quality of banks' loan portfolio remains high. Thus, as of 01.04.2025, loans overdue for more than 90 days in the total loan portfolio accounted for 3.4% or 1.2 trillion KZT, inching up from 3.3% a month earlier.NPL90+ loans on retail loans as of 01.04.25 accounted for 4.2% making 894 billion KZT, on business loans – 2.3% or 338 billion KZT. Level of coverage of loans with overdue debt of over 90 days by provisions was 67.1% (67.0% as of 01.01.2025).Liabilities of the banking sector for March 2025 expanded by 1.7% to 52.6 trillion KZT mainly due to an increase in customer deposits. In the structure of liabilities of the banking sector, customer deposits prevail accounting for 79.3% which is 41.8 trillion KZT.Deposits of residents with depository organizations in March 2025 inched up by 0.1% to 40.5 trillion KZT mainly as a result of an increase in deposits in foreign currency by 2.8% to 9.4 trillion KZT, including due to a positive revaluation against the background of KZT devaluation against the USD. KZT deposits contracted by 0.8% to 31.1 billion KZT. As a result, dollarization level of deposit as of 01.04.2025 was 23.2%,  a slight increase from 22.5% a month earlier.Corporate deposits in March 2025 decreased by 0.6% to 18.2 trillion KZT, while retail deposits rise by 0.6% to 22.3 trillion KZT.Average weighted interest rate on term deposits of non-bank legal entities in national currency in March 2025 was 15.0% (in February 2025 – 14.2%), on retaildeposits – 13.6% (in February 2025 – 13.3%).In March 2025, equity capital of banks increased by 0.9% to 9.3 trillion KZT (5.1% growth since the beginning of 2025), mainly due to an increase in retained earnings. As of April 1, 2025, the core capital adequacy ratio (k1) was 20.6% (as of January 1, 2025 – 20.4%), equity capital adequacy ratio (k2) was 22.1% (22.0% as of January 1, 2025), which significantly exceeds the standards established by the laws and ensures coverage of potential risks in the banking sector.For January-March 2025, net profit of banks totaled 664 billion KZT, which is 16.6% more year-on-year. Kazakh Hero of the Great Patriotic War honored in Moldova 08.05.2025
Chisinau, May 2, 2025 – A ceremony was held in the Moldovan village of Gura-Bîcului to honor the memory of Qanash Qamzin, a Hero of the Great Patriotic War and native of Aksu District, Pavlodar Region. The event was also attended by representatives of the Moldo-Kazakh Business Council and the administration of the «Bălți» Free Economic Zone.With the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moldova, the local gymnasium, where a memorial plaque in honor of the Kazakh soldier is installed, received modern school desks and various types of sports equipment.Ambassador Almat Aidarbekov expressed gratitude to the residents of the village for their respectful attitude toward the memory of the Kazakh hero. He noted that, in Kazakhstan, large-scale events dedicated to the Victory anniversary and the remembrance of fallen heroes are being held.The head of the local administration, Lilia Brekhova, and the school director, Alexandru Covtun, highly appreciated the assistance provided and emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of Qanash Qamzin, who gave his life in the liberation of Moldova.The event, held in the framework of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was also attended by representatives of the school and the local community.Qanash Qamzin held the rank of lieutenant and served as a company commander. During the war, he was posthumously awarded the highest state honor for his role in holding a strategically important bridgehead in Moldova. Information on the detection of illegal excisable products 08.05.2025
                                 On 04/28/2025, during the investigative and operational measures of the Department of Internal Affairs of Atyrau region, together with the Department of Defense for Atyrau region, illegal business activities were suppressed for the supply of illegal excisable products in the form of tobacco and alcoholic beverages to the territory of Atyrau region, namely in Atyrau and Kurmangazinsky district.         As a result of joint activities, 210 boxes of cigarettes (Oris, Mondeo, and Zumrret brands), 262 vapes, and 1,535 liters (in 5-liter 307 plastic containers) of alcoholic beverages were seized.                  The Department of Internal Affairs of Atyrau region urges citizens to be vigilant when purchasing alcohol and tobacco products of questionable origin, as counterfeit products pose a serious threat to the health and life of consumers. Today, a ceremonial opening of a memorial plaque on the house where honorary citizen of the North Kazakhstan region, war veteran and honored employee of the prosecutor's office Sapar Duissenov lived took place in Petropavl. The ceremony was attended by the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, the prosecutor of the North Kazakhstan region Kairat Abdikhanov, heads of law enforcement agencies, the veteran's relatives and the public. This event is dedicated to the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory and has become an important sign of recognition of his outstanding services to the state and the region."The memorial plaque will become a symbol of respect and gratitude to a person who dedicated his life to serving the people and the law, and his life's journey will inspire future generations to honest and devoted service to the Fatherland," the head of the region wrote on social networks.Sapar Duissenov defended his Motherland with honor at the front, showing courage and fortitude. In the post-war years, he actively participated in the restoration and development of the country, making a significant contribution to its prosperity. He went from an investigator to the first deputy prosecutor of the region, devoting his life to service in the prosecutor's office. The first passengers of the international flight arrived from Turkestan to Samarkand 08.05.2025
On the occasion of the Unity Day of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, QAZAQ AIR launched an international flight between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on the Turkestan route. – Samarkand". The opening ceremony of the flight took place at Samarkand International Airport on May 1, 2025.The event was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand Talgat Sharipov, the Commercial Director of QAZAQ AIR Suleiman Mirzayev, the Acting Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Samarkand region Zhurabek Suyunov, representatives of the Akimat of Samarkand, the press and the company "Air Marakanda" (the operator of the Samarkand International Airport).The opening of direct flights between Turkestan and Samarkand creates new prospects for the development of tourism, cultural and business ties.The initiative has already been highly appreciated by tour operators and the business community. About results of work in consumer protection of financial services as of April 1, 2025 08.05.2025
In March 2025, activities of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) on consumer protection issues mainly focused on study of borrowers' requests due to fraudulent activities, assistance in restructuring the consumer loan debt and taking measures to reduce their debt burden.In March 2025, the Agency studied 14,357 requests from individuals and legal entities related to activities of financial organizations and collection agencies, which is 15.0% more than in February 2025.Requests from the banking sector account for the largest share of 53.5% of the total number of requests. Requests in connection with activities of organizations engaged in microfinance activities accounted for 36.8% of the total number, collection agencies – 4.8%, insurance market entities – 1.0%, other organizations – 3.8%, without specifying the name of the financial organization – 0.1%.In March 2025, the Agency applied 3 advisory supervisory response measures, 2 administrative penalties under 86 administrative offense reports for a total of 924 k KZT, in relation to:- banks – 2 advisory supervisory response measures, 1 administrative penalty under 1 administrative offense report for a total of 786.4 k KZT;- insurance organizations – 1 advisory supervisory response measure;- collection agencies – 1 administrative penalty under 1 report for the amount of 137.6 k KZT.The Agency implements the Program for Refinancing Mortgage Housing Loans (Mortgage Loans) in three areas, designed to preserve the only accommodation and reduce the debt burden (hereinafter referred to as the Program).Within the first part of the Program, designed to preserve the only accommodation of borrowers who received mortgage loans during the period from 2004 to 2020, as of April 1, 2025, banks refinanced 32.8 k loans in the amount of 206.1 billion KZT.Within the second part of the Program, designed to convert/ refinance foreign currency mortgage loans issued before 01.01.2016, banks converted/ refinanced 15.8 k foreign currency mortgage loans in the amount of 114.0 billion KZT. Conversion/ refinancing of foreign currency loans will be carried out until December 31, 2025.Within the third part of the Program, as of April 1, 2025, banks provided additional financial support measures to 10.6 k borrowers – vulnerable communities in the amount of 94.6 billion KZT. About state of the insurance sector of Kazakhstan as of April 1, 2025 08.05.2025
As of April 1, 2025, the insurance sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan is represented by 25 insurance organizations, including 10 life insurance organizations.Assets of (re)insurance organizations in late March 2025 shrank by 0.3% to 3.2 trillion KZT (a 3.5% increase since the beginning of 2025) as a result of revaluation of securities valued at fair value (a 1.4% decrease).As of April 1, 2025, securities account for the largest share in the asset structure – 73.7% (2.4 trillion KZT), cash and deposits in second-tier banks – 6.2% (200 billion KZT), insurance receivables – 4.6% (151 billion KZT).Liabilities of (re)insurance organizations for March 2025 decreased by 0.7% to 2.3 trillion KZT (a 3.9% increase since the beginning of 2025) mainly as a result of repayment and a decrease in volume of direct repo transactions.Equity capital of (re)insurance  organizations for March 2025 edged up by 0.4% or 4.1 billion KZT to 959 billion KZT, as a result of an increase in retained earnings for the reporting period (since the beginning of 2025, an increase of 1.5%). In March 2025, insurance organizations received a profit of 18.4 billion KZT (18.1 billion KZT net profit since the beginning of 2025).Number of insurance contracts signed with individuals and legal entities since the beginning of 2025 was 6.0 million contracts, which is a 34.5% increase year-on-year. Main growth is reported in accident insurance contracts (a 108.3% surge or 1,437.4 k contracts).Insurance premiums accepted under (re)insurance contracts for March 2025 reached 109.3 billion KZT. Since the beginning of 2025, insurance premiums amounted to 391.0 billion KZT, which is 21.9% more year-on-year.Volume of insurance premiums for voluntary personal insurance in March 2025 amounted to 60.4 billion KZT, since the beginning of 2025 – 191.9 billion KZT, which is 50.4% or 64.3 billion KZT more than in the same period of 2024. The growth is mainly attributed to an increase in collected premiums for accident insurance by 2.9 times to 48.4 billion KZT and pension annuity insurance by 1.7 times to 67.4 billion KZT.In voluntary property insurance, insurance premiums in March 2025 made 30.1 billion KZT, since the beginning of 2025 – 137.5 billion KZT, which is 0.1% more than in the same period last year. The growth is mainly due to a surge in collected premiums in the professional liability insurance class by 4 times to 8.1 billion KZT.In March 2025, insurance premiums for compulsory insurance stood at 18.8 billion KZT, since the beginning of 2025 – 61.6 billion KZT, which is 10.2% more year-on-year. Capitalization of the stock market as of April 1, 2025 was 31.8 trillion KZT, down by 0.8% or 264.2 billion KZT during March 2025 (a 3.4%  contraction since the beginning of 2025), mainly due to falling prices for shares included in the representative list of KASE Index – Kaspi.kz JSC (-8.6%) and NAC Kazatomprom JSC (-6.9%).KASE Index in March 2025 rose by 0.7% to 5,658.74 (a 1.4% growth since the beginning of 2025).Volume of stock trading in March 2025 made 19.4 billion KZT, a 25.1% slump of 6.5 billion KZT over the month mainly due to a shrinking volume of trading in shares of NC KazMunayGas JSC, KEGOC JSC and Kaspi.kz JSC.As of April 1, 2025, trading lists of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (hereinafter referred to as KASE) included shares of 96 names from 81 issuers of Kazakhstan.As of April 1, 2025, KASE Global sector contained 47 names of shares and 17 ETFs of 58 foreign issuers. Total volume of transactions closed in KASE Global sector in March 2025 made 5.3 billion KZT, a 15.9% decrease over the month, mainly due to a shrinking volume of trading in shares of ProShares Trust, NVIDIA Corp., Tesla, Inc.Volume of corporate debt traded on KASE in March 2025 edged up by 0.4% to 13.7 trillion KZT (a 0.2% decline since the beginning of 2025).Volume of corporate bond trading on KASE in March 2025 contracted by 29.8% or by 59.5 billion KZT month-on-month to 140.5 billion KZT, mainly due to a 33.0% plunge of the trading volume on the primary market to 77.7 billion KZT.As of April 1, 2025, KASE trading lists contained 530 corporate bond issues of 129 issuers (511 corporate bond issues of 126 issuers as of January 1, 2025).Government debt traded on KASE expanded by 2.4% or 0.7 trillion KZT in March 2025 to 28.6 trillion KZT (a 5.8% increase of 1.6 trillion KZT since the beginning of 2025). The total trading volume of government securities on KASE at the end of March 2025 stood at 954.5 billion KZT, a 42.3% surge over the month.Trading volume on the primary market of government securities in March 2025 soared by 19.4% to 614.4 billion KZT. Placement of 12 bond issues by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a yield to maturity of 14.10-15.60% accounted for the entire volume.As of April 1, 2025, 58 mutual investment funds operated in the collective investment market, these included 24 interval, 33 closed and 1 open.Assets under management in the mutual investment market as of April 1, 2025 amounted to 359.5 billion KZT, a 3.4% decrease of 11.7 billion KZT in March 2025 (a 2.2% increase since the beginning of the year), mainly due to negative revaluation of foreign currency of individual investment funds. As of April 1, 2025, portfolio of securities made 305.4 billion KZT or 84.9% of the total assets of mutual investment funds.The institutional structure of the securities market as of April 1, 2025 is represented by 40 brokers and dealers (16 banks and 24 non-banking organizations), 11 custodian banks, 21 investment portfolio managers, 3 transfer agents, as well as 3 infrastructure organizations: KASE, KASE Clearing Center and Central Securities Depository, which also performs functions of a single registrar and trade repository.In March 2025, number of accounts in the nominal holding system of the Central Securities Depository increased by 2.8% and amounted to 3,970.5 k accounts, where:- number of sub-accounts of depositor clients rose by 1.1 k or 0.2% to 689.0 k sub-accounts (an increase of 3.6 k or 0.5% since the beginning of 2025);- number of personal accounts opened by brokers and recorded through aggregated omnibus accounts surged by 107.8 k or 3.4% to 3,281.5 k (an increase of 466.1 k or 16.6% since early 2025).Assets of professional participants in the securities market as of April 1, 2025 stood at 542.1 billion KZT, a 15.4% reduction of 98.7 billion KZT since March 2025 (a 29.5% plunge since the beginning of the year).
