This year, three boiler units and two turbines are planned to be overhauled at Karaganda CHP-3. A significant amount is earmarked for the modernization of boiler No. 1, which has been operating since the station was founded in 1977. Two boilers and one turbine will undergo overhaul at CHP-1. In addition, current repairs will be carried out on the main and auxiliary equipment at the energy sources.The "Tariff for Investment" program was announced at the Karaganda Energocenter company.From February 1, 2025, new tariffs for the production of heat and electricity came into force. The changes were approved by the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, respectively. In addition to production costs, tariffs include expenses for major repairs and equipment modernization under the investment program. - The cost of the repair campaign in 2025 will amount to 23.8 billion tenge. These funds will be spent on ensuring the reliability of equipment, improving environmental friendliness and removing capacity restrictions. In addition, it is planned to modernize gas treatment equipment. The second-generation emulsifier will be replaced with third-generation equipment. This will increase the degree of purification, and accordingly reduce emissions into the environment. And as a result of the general overhaul, the reliability and stability of the equipment will increase, - he explained.The speakers said that the necessary equipment will be ordered abroad, and its manufacture will take from 90 days to six months. It is planned to install a new power unit by 2028.
