Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangali Berdalin visited Ospanova Development LLP, located near the city of Konayev, as part of a working trip to the Almaty region. This enterprise is a fishing complex engaged in the breeding of barramundi and trout fish.
According to the director of the enterprise, M. Bektemisov, the complex is a unique project that has no analogues in the CIS.

The design capacity of the complex of 10,000 tons of fish per year is planned to be implemented in two stages. The construction of the first stage of the project to grow 1,000 tons of fish per year was completed at the end of 2023, and it is planned to grow more than 100 tons of fish by the end of the year.
According to the investor, the project cost is more than 67 billion tenge. Since 2021, more than 8.5 billion tenge has been invested in the implementation of the first stage of the project.
In general, the implementation of this project will contribute to import substitution and increase domestic consumption and exports.
