On Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Semey honored the memory of the heroes who contributed to the history of the country's independence.
The ceremony was attended by akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhaev, chairman of the regional maslikhat Shalkar Baybekov, participants in the December 1986 events, veterans, youth representatives and students.
The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the heroes. After that, the National Anthem of the country was played.
The flower-laying ceremony at the monument of Kairat Ryskulbekov became the central moment of the event. Kairat Ryskulbekov is one of the participants in the December events, who became a symbol of courage and perseverance in the struggle for rights and independence. His feat has left an indelible mark in the history of Kazakhstan and continues to inspire new generations.
