Students of the Almaty Choreographic College became winners in the International Ballet Competition

From December 11 to December 15, 2024, the First International Ballet Competition "Uluu-Eles" was held on the stage of the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybayev, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kyrgyz choreographer Uran Sarbagyshev.
The competition brought together ballet dancers, students of choreographic educational institutions and choreographers from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Japan and Kyrgyzstan.
The students of the Almaty Choreographic College named after Alexander Seleznev showed excellent results:
1st prize – Amina Bataeva;
2nd prize – Abylkasenova Akbota;
3rd prize – Akyn Tomiris and Nakiskhodaev Alikhan.
Graduate students:
Irina Becker, Anastasia Petina, Kasimkhan Alisher, Arsen Ermekov.
A special award was the Robert Urazgildeev and Inga Levchenko Prize, established by the Bubusara Beishenalieva Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Art, which was awarded to Irina Becker and Lyudmila Li, an Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR.
The competition was aimed at developing and popularizing ballet art, identifying and supporting talented performers, improving the professional skills of ballet dancers, as well as strengthening international cultural ties in the field of ballet.
