Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations brought 136 people out of snow drifts to Zhetis
24.12.2024 20:38:17 1232 As a result of the deterioration of weather conditions, a severe blizzard and a snowstorm with zero visibility, several emergencies occurred on the Usharal-Dostyk highway in the Zhetisu region. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly provided assistance to drivers and passengers stuck in the snowdrifts. In total, more than 136 people have been rescued in the last 24 hours.
Due to a strong blizzard and blizzard, 30 trucks and one passenger car were stuck on the Yrgaity highway section. Rescuers immediately went to help. Rescuers delivered more than 40 people to the city of Usharal using special high-terrain vehicles, including a shift shift and an all-terrain vehicle "Trekol". Among the rescued were 28 foreign citizens — citizens of the Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. Fortunately, no one needed medical help.
On another section of the highway, between Yrgaity and Zhalanashkol, 26 more trucks were captured in the snow. Rescuers evacuated the drivers to the village of Koktuma, where hot meals were organized by local authorities. As a result of this operation, assistance was provided to 26 drivers.
In addition, the evacuation operation was carried out by the staff of the PCH-10 Dostyk station. There were 2 cars and 19 trucks in the area of heavy snow drift. 69 people were evacuated, including 20 soldiers of the Alakol border control. All the injured were taken to Dostyk station.
