Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kazakhstan Michal Labenda visited the Karaganda region. At the meeting with the head of the region, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, the main focus was on the development of economic and industrial cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.
An important element of cultural interaction is the Karaganda regional Polish society "Polonia", where educational and cultural work is carried out.
Ermaganbet Bulekpayev spoke about the industrial potential of the region and the opportunities it offers to foreign investors. A special economic zone "Saryarka" has been created to attract foreign entrepreneurs. Tax and customs preferences are provided for residents here, as well as the necessary infrastructure.
– The products produced in our region meet international standards and are exported to 50 countries, including Poland. We attach great importance to the development of international relations and are interested in cooperation," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
In turn, Michal Labenda stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations in the field of investment. He noted that Kazakhstan is a key partner of Poland in Central Asia.
– I have already visited several regions of Kazakhstan in order to strengthen cooperation. In the Karaganda region, we are particularly interested in investment projects in such sectors as construction, mechanical engineering and mining. There are many industries in Poland that may be interested in expanding their operations in these areas. You have a lot of potential, you just need to solve the logistics issue," Michal Labenda said.
