From December 20 to December 30, applications for participation in the January UNT will be accepted in Kazakhstan. You can register on the website of the National Testing Center app.testcenter.kz or via the UTO app. The testing itself will take place from January 10 to February 10, according to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"The January UNT is attended by those who have not scored a threshold score based on the results of summer testing and are enrolled in full-time education on a paid basis, students who want to transfer from creative educational institutions to other areas of training on a paid basis, those who want to transfer to pedagogical areas of training on a paid basis, as well as students graduating from schools for admission to the university on a paid basis is optional. When registering, the test takers choose the place, date and time of testing themselves," the agency said in a statement.
The number of subjects at the UNT remains the same – three compulsory and two to choose from. The number of tasks has not changed either – 120. These are 20 assignments on the history of Kazakhstan, 10 assignments on reading literacy, 10 assignments on mathematical literacy and 40 assignments in two specialized subjects. The maximum number of points is 140.
The testing time is 4 hours (240 minutes). An additional 40 minutes will be saved for children with special educational needs.
Training tests have been launched to improve the preparation for the UNT. At the beginning of the school year, the NTC website published a list of literature and a test plan for which assignments were compiled, a list of 100 dates on the history of Kazakhstan and world history, a list of computer science terms, and a list of works on Kazakh and Russian literature. A calculator, periodic table, and salt solubility table will also be available for all applicants in the testing program.
