Maslikhats celebrate 30 years since their creation. On this occasion, a solemn meeting was held in the building of the regional branch of the Amanat party with the participation of akim of the region Askhat Shakharov and chairman of the regional maslikhat Gulkasima Suentayeva.
Deputies of all eight convocations were also invited to the event.
Akim of the region congratulated the deputies on the significant date and noted the important role of maslikhats in the public administration system, emphasizing their importance in making decisions aimed at developing the region and improving the well-being of the population. Askhat Shakharov thanked the deputies of various convocations for their contribution to the implementation of projects and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
"Maslikhats of Aktobe region have been working for the unity and stability of the country for 30 years, justifying the trust of the people. You are the golden bridge between the people and the government. The formation of socio-economic development processes is directly related to your work. Deputies have always paid attention to important issues: from budget formation to improving infrastructure and providing for residents. I am sure that you will continue to fulfill your duties with honor," the mayor noted.
The mayor also shared his memories of how, when he was a deputy of the regional maslikhat of the fifth convocation, he had the opportunity to solve topical issues related to the socio-economic development of the region. He told how he and his colleagues worked to improve infrastructure, improve the quality of education, healthcare, and support rural areas.
Gulkasima Suentayeva, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Governor of the region for his support and effective interaction with the deputies. She noted the fruitful work of the maslikhat and stressed the importance of the selfless work of the deputies, thanking them for their contribution to the development of the region and the well-being of the population.
"For 30 years, 8 convocations have been replaced in the regional maslikhat, and during this period 260 people were elected deputies. Maslikhat is a platform where the interests of citizens and the mechanisms of government meet. Although we represent different parties and professions, our common goal is to improve the welfare of the people and develop the Motherland.
Today's eighth convocation is working in a new format: for the first time, elections were held under a proportional-majority system, which was an important step in the democratization of society. The deputy corps has been updated by 70%, combining experience and new ideas. There are 34 deputies in the maslikhat: 17 were elected on party lists, the rest on single-mandate constituencies.
At the II Republican Forum of Maslikhat deputies, the President of the country stressed the importance of strengthening the powers of maslikhats, actively participating in budget planning and conducting a direct dialogue with society. We will continue to work on this," Gulkasima Suentayeva said.
During the solemn meeting, deputies of various convocations spoke, recalling their work in the maslikhat. Among the speakers were Balikhan Zholamanov, First Secretary of the regional Maslikhat, Mukhtar Dzhumagaziev, ex-deputy of the Senate of the Parliament, Tulegen Kuanyshev, deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the 1st convocation, and others. They spoke about the significant moments of their activities, emphasizing the importance of interacting with residents and solving topical issues in the region. The deputies noted that serving the people has always been and remains the main task of their work.
At the end of the official part, an award ceremony was held. A number of deputies were awarded badges of the akim of Aktobe region "Oblyska sinirgen yenbegi ushin".
