The results of the activities of Family Support Centers and mobile groups for the early detection of families in difficult situations for 2024 were summed up in Astana with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To date, there are 65 Family Support Centers in the country. They were created to help Kazakhstanis solve various problems. The CPS provides psychological, legal, informational consultations, assistance in finding employment and professional development, and provides temporary housing for victims of domestic violence for up to one month.
The adoption of the Law on Women's Rights and Child Safety in April this year was an important step in strengthening the institution of the family and preventing domestic violence.
The new edition has also made adjustments to the activities of the CPS – a unified network of Centers has been created and case management has been introduced to address family issues.
The centers carry out a comprehensive assessment of the situation of applicants, as well as draw up and maintain an individual family support plan.
The new approach focuses on preventive measures. For the early detection of families in a difficult life situation, mobile working groups were formed from among specialists from the relevant departments of the ICI, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Health.
A mobile application has also been developed for the efficiency and convenience of interdepartmental interaction between government agencies. It is an integrated model for the provision of social services. The application is currently being tested.
Since the Law came into force, the number of Centers has increased from 33 to 65. In 2025-2027, it is planned to increase their number to 208.
To date, the center's specialists have conducted over 400,000 consultations.
Field training seminars were held in all regions to enhance the competence of the staff of the Centers, as well as for more coordinated work of mobile groups.
