Vice Minister of Agriculture visited Ulytau region

Vice Minister of Agriculture Yermek Kenzhekhanuly held a meeting with the heads of farms of Ulytau region.
The meeting was also attended by the departments of agriculture and land relations, JSC "SEC Ulytau", a branch of JSC "ACC".
Problematic issues and ways to solve them were discussed.
"Ulytau region has historically specialized in animal husbandry and this area continues to be a key one in the agricultural production of the region. The share of agriculture in the gross regional product is about 5%. It is necessary to take measures to increase this indicator," Yermek Kenzhekhanuly said.
The Vice Minister also recalled that this year, for the first time, the volume of preferential loans for spring field work has been increased to 580 billion tenge. In previous years, this volume did not exceed 180 billion tenge.
"Next year, it is planned to increase the amount of financing for sowing and harvesting operations to 700 billion tenge. This will help support farmers at all stages of the agricultural cycle, from preparation for sowing to harvesting," the Vice Minister said.
700 million tenge is provided for 2025 in the Ulytau region.
As part of the Roadmap for the implementation of agricultural investment projects for 2024-2026 in the Ulytau region, it is planned to implement 9 projects worth 9.4 billion tenge, including 4 in 2024. Among them are 2 processing projects worth 1.3 billion tenge, 2 poultry farm projects worth 1.1 billion tenge.
To date, all projects have been commissioned.
