Vice Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Batyrbek Abdyshev made a working trip to Kazselezashchita State Institution in Almaty and the Almaty region to discuss issues of preventing mudflow and avalanche hazards. During the visit, a delegation of the Chinese company Beidou, specializing in technologies for monitoring natural disasters, also arrived in Kazakhstan.
The meeting was organized within the framework of a trilateral memorandum of mutual cooperation signed earlier between the agency, the Chinese company Beidou and its Kazakh representatives. The agreement was concluded after a delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited the company's headquarters in Changsha, China.
During the working visit, Batyrbek Abdyshev and representatives of the Beidou company conducted an aerial visual survey of the river basin in the central part of the Ile Alatau range. An inspection of the existing mudslide and avalanche protection structures was also carried out. The purpose of the visit was to study and monitor protective facilities using innovative technologies and sensors for real monitoring of natural hazards.
Within the framework of the meeting, a working meeting was held with the participation of specialists from a Chinese company, where global practices and the introduction of innovative technologies for automating the natural disaster monitoring system were discussed. Representatives of the Chinese company Beidou demonstrated the latest achievements in the field of technologies for monitoring natural disasters, including sensors for predicting natural disasters. These technologies are designed to quickly respond to threats and ensure the safety of the public.
"We highly appreciate the opportunities that new technologies offer for monitoring and protecting against mudflow and avalanche hazards, especially in such difficult mountainous areas as the Ile Alatau. Together with our Chinese partners, we were able to explore best practices and solutions that will help improve the effectiveness of the threat prevention and response system, ensuring the safety of our citizens. The introduction of these technologies will significantly improve protection against natural disasters in Kazakhstan and increase the level of emergency preparedness," Batyrbek Abdyshev emphasized.
This cooperation will contribute to the introduction of modern technologies for more effective monitoring of natural disasters and improving public safety.
