Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhaev held a meeting with talented schoolchildren and students of the region. The meeting was attended by 50 students of secondary schools and 20 college students – winners of intellectual Olympiads, scientific projects, as well as sports and creative competitions.
The event was held in the format of free communication, where the guys were able to talk about their achievements, share ideas and suggestions for the development of the region. Nurlan Urankhaev listened attentively to each participant, giving useful advice and noting the importance of youth's contribution to the future of the region.
"You are the future of our region and the country. Your success in studies, science, sports, and creativity is an example of how perseverance and talent can help you achieve great things. For our part, we will do our best to support your initiatives and create more opportunities for your development. There is a creative industries park in the region where you can implement your projects," the head of the region emphasized.
The participants of the event received commemorative cash certificates on behalf of the akim of the region.
It should be noted that 114 prizes were won at the republican Olympiads, including 21 gold, 33 silver and 60 bronze medals. For the second year in a row, Adilkhan Adilanov, a student of the Peredenovskaya secondary school, received a gold medal at the Mathematics Olympiad for rural schoolchildren. This year, he also won a grant to study at the university.
The students of the region showed outstanding results in robotics: more than 600 students won regional, more than 50 national, and 25 international competitions. The achievements include 3rd place in Indonesia, 2nd place in Turkey, 1st place in Singapore, and the Grand Prix in China in the "Best Robot" nomination. At the International military-patriotic Youth Rally "Aibyn-2024", teams of students from the region took 2nd and 3rd places in the team competition.
In addition, at the republican WorldSkills championship, the team of the Abai region won the 1st place in the national competition. The team's results include 2 gold, 6 silver, 4 bronze medals and 7 medallions. The participants of last year's championship received the best nomination at the World Championship in France.
