Today, on November 11, a meeting was held between the first deputy akim of the region, Yerbol Izbergenov, and the new Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Aktau, Zhamoliddinhuzh Abduzukir oglu Abdukarimov.
During the meeting, the trade and economic potential of the Mangystau region was presented, the parties also discussed the possibilities and future of the region, directions for the development of trade relations between the two countries. A number of important issues related to the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, the expansion of economic ties and the implementation of new joint projects were raised.
Erbol Izbergenov noted that the potential of bilateral cooperation is high and full support will be provided by the Mangystau region.
- We are confident that this meeting will give a new impetus to strengthening mutual trust and partnership between the two countries, further expanding economic ties. We will work with Uzbekistan to increase the potential of the region through the implementation of mutually beneficial projects," Yerbol Izbergenov said.
It should be noted that trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have significantly strengthened in recent years, and the mutual trade turnover for the period from January to August 2024 amounted to 5.8 million US dollars. The volume of exports amounted to 3.2 million US dollars, and imports amounted to 2.6 million US dollars.
Also, 140 enterprises with the participation of Uzbek capital operating in trade, logistics, construction and other sectors of the economy are registered in the Mangystau region.
