Today, February 7, the solemn opening ceremony of the Year of Working Professions on the theme "Honest Labor - Honest Profit" was held at the Dostyk House in Aktau.
The event was attended by Deputy Akim of Mangystau Oblast Tlek Zhetkizgenuly, city and district akims, teachers of technical and vocational, post-secondary educational institutions and representatives of partner institutions, heads of district and city education departments, and schoolchildren.
During the event, an exhibition of products made by students at colleges training working specialists in the region was organized.
The Department of Employment Coordination and Social Programs of Mangystau Oblast organized a "Job Vacancies" fair for graduates of colleges in the region, which was attended by about 30 employers. Today, an action plan for the Year of Working Professions has been approved in the region, and a working group headquarters has been established.
Deputy Akim of the region, Tlek Zhetkizgenuly, emphasized the importance of the Year of Working Professions, and on behalf of the Akim of the region, congratulated and awarded letters of appreciation to specialists who have made significant contributions to the field of technical and vocational education.
- Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, "A hardworking person, a professional specialist should be the most respected person in our country. Such citizens develop our state. We must show respect to an ordinary working person," and emphasized that a working person should be an example for young people today. The goal is to raise the status of working professions and promote their importance in society. In the region, in 2025-2026, it is planned to open an educational laboratory building, an IT hub, pass international industry accreditation, open competency centers at the expense of employers, increase targeted education orders based on the specific needs of enterprises and institutions, and open new specialties, - said Tlek Zhetkizgenuly.
As part of the event, representatives of the dynasty who raised their descendants to be working specialists and passed them down from father to son; labor veterans, college students who participated in various championships at the republican and international levels and defended the honor of the region were honored.
