On February 6-7, the republican command and staff exercise “Spring-2025” is being held in Mangystau region.

The line demonstration of the exercise was attended by Talgat Zhambauov, Head of the Department of State Control over Civil Defense Measures of the Committee for Civil Defense and Military Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Deputy Akim of Mangystau region Tlek Zhetkizgenuly, Akim of Aktau city Abilkhair Baipakov, and Deputy Head of the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Nurlybek Aizharykov, who inspected the readiness of civil defense services and structures.

287 personnel and 35 pieces of equipment were mobilized as part of the republican exercise. The structures ready to provide services in the spring include water, trade and catering, radiation and chemical protection, information and communications, energy, fuel and lubricants, information, public order protection and firefighting.

The purpose of the exercise is to prepare the management bodies and forces of the state civil protection system for actions to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergencies during the flood period of 2025. In addition, the readiness of management bodies, forces and means to respond quickly in the event of a flood will be tested.

It should be noted that during the exercise, the operation of the public notification system was checked, and the actions of the operational headquarters of civil protection services and structures were clarified. In addition, the level of readiness for an urgent response to emergencies of a natural and man-made nature that may occur during the flood period will be assessed.
