With the help of the innovative project "Codi Play" at the Khromtau Gymnasium, students will master the skills of working with artificial intelligence and open up new horizons in the world of future technologies.
With the support of the ERG company, digital education mechanisms have been introduced at the Gymnasium No. 5 in the city of Khromtau. In 2024, the company financed the modernization of the educational institution, providing it with modern equipment and innovative educational programs.
As part of a working trip to the Khromtau district, the regional governor, Askhat Shakharov, visited the gymnasium and got acquainted with the achievements of the students.
Thanks to ERG's investments in the amount of 179.5 million tenge, the educational institution underwent major renovation and was equipped with modern equipment: interactive panels were installed in the classrooms, the dining room was completely renovated, and the necessary equipment was purchased for the sports and assembly halls.
Askhat Shakharov assessed the comfortable conditions for teachers and students, noting that this contributes to the effective learning and development of students.
The gymnasium students presented the regional governor with the work of the innovative devices "Codi Play", introduced in 13 countries around the world. This educational system helps children master the Internet of Things (IoT) programming and technology in a playful way, while developing engineering thinking and logical decision-making.
Special attention was paid to STEM and creative spaces equipped with ERG support. Among them are a room for working with innovative devices and studying robotics "Codi Play", a creative workshop "Creativity Studio" for girls, and a chemistry room with a laboratory for scientific experiments.
Askhat Shakharov emphasized the importance of introducing modern educational technologies in the gymnasium, noting that they are the basis for providing quality education and training competitive specialists in the future.
"The introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence into school education in the village is an important step in training future specialists who can compete at the global level. The President of the country set the task of ensuring the introduction of artificial intelligence into the educational process, and we see it becoming a reality in Khromtau. Digitalization of education will allow our children to gain advanced knowledge and skills that will help them succeed in the future. "This will not only improve the quality of education, but also narrow the gap between urban and rural areas, opening up new opportunities for the development of rural areas," the regional akim said.
Askhat Shakharov drew attention to the fact that initiatives such as the "Codi Play" project are an excellent example of how modern technologies can be a tool for the development of rural schools and the training of competitive specialists at the regional level.
