Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, during his working visit to the Akmola region, reviewed the master plan for the development of the city of Koschy and inspected the progress of work on creating social infrastructure in the region. Akim of the Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov informed the Prime Minister about the socio-economic development of the region.

Currently, about 59 thousand people officially live in the city, while according to estimates, the actual number of residents is more than 100 thousand people. Engineering networks, designed for 30 thousand residents, are experiencing a significant load. According to forecasts, the population will grow to 150 thousand by 2038.

The new master plan provides for expanding the territory, dividing it into updated service zones, as well as modernizing engineering and transport infrastructure. Akim of Koschy Azamat Kapyshev reported to the Head of Government on the expansion of the city's housing stock, the opening of new social and infrastructure facilities, the development of recreation areas and other planned measures.

More than 360 hectares of land have been allocated for the construction of new apartment buildings, and more than 900 hectares for the construction of individual housing. It is also planned to build 31 kindergartens, 16 secondary schools, a regional hospital and 7 polyclinics by 2038. 

In order to develop communal infrastructure and create additional capacity, it is planned to build a new boiler house, auxiliary power plant and EBS, water supply, treatment facilities and other facilities. In 2024, work will begin on providing the city with natural gas through the Sary-Arka main gas pipeline and will be completed in 2026. In addition, areas for industrial and municipal enterprises will be built. To develop industry and create new jobs in the northwestern part of the city, it is planned to open an industrial zone with a total area of ​​264 hectares. It is planned to build a road to the capital.

In addition, it is planned to improve parks and flower beds for pedestrians, open a children's entertainment and recreation park with games and sports facilities. The total area allocated for planting green flags is 132.5 hectares. Areas are provided for the construction of administrative buildings, a central stadium, an ice palace, physical education and recreation complexes, houses of culture, a new wedding palace, a student palace, a theater, and a children's and youth sports school.

Special attention was paid to solving complex issues. 

In particular, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the progress of the construction of a new fire station. After 4 years, only 60% of the work has been completed. However, the contractor reported insufficient funding. Under the contract, about 1.2 billion tenge was allocated for the construction of the facility equipped with modern equipment. Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that additional funds will not be provided, and funds will be allocated only within the amount included in the GSC. The Prime Minister demanded that the contractor complete the work in the near future, failing which the contract would be terminated.

It was also reported on the resolution of the long-standing issue of 537 shareholders, including the "Lilac Garden" residential complex. The new contractor promises that 106 residents will be given the keys to their homes by City Day, and another 209 families will soon move into their long-awaited new homes. In turn, the Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev reported on the ongoing work to improve the relevant legislation. 

During his working trip, Olzhas Bektenov, who visited the construction site of a multidisciplinary hospital in Koschy, inspected the work being done to improve the quality of medical services provided to the population in the region. 

The medical institution, which has a 350-bed hospital and a clinic that can receive up to 1 thousand visitors per shift, serves residents of the city and seven districts of the Akmola region near the capital. Today, residents of Koschy receive medical care in state and private clinics for up to 250 visitors per shift. In addition, the registered population has increased from 24 thousand to 42 thousand people over the past 2 years. The construction of a multidisciplinary hospital will solve the problem of shortage of space. Surgery, traumatology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, chemotherapy and other departments operate here. In addition, the territory is planned to build two multi-apartment residential buildings for medical workers and a boarding house for accommodating patients from out-of-town residents.

The facility is being built at the expense of Viamedis's own investments for more than 28 billion tenge. More than 9 billion tenge of this is planned to be spent on equipping the hospital with modern medical equipment from the German company Siemens. The Prime Minister was informed by Asset Akhmetov, General Director of Viamedis LLP, that construction and installation work is being carried out ahead of schedule. A total of about 200 people are involved in the work, and construction materials are purchased mainly from domestic manufacturers. The clinic is scheduled to open by the end of this year, and the hospital in 2026. The launch of the new medical institution will create 956 jobs.

Let us recall that the Head of State instructed the expanded meeting of the Government to pay attention to all issues affecting the quality of life of citizens. The Government is conducting systematic work on the modernization of social and engineering infrastructure.
