A voucher financing system will be introduced in preschool educational organizations in Abay region from March 1, 2025. Deputy Akim of the region Zhasulan Sarsebayev presented the importance of voucher financing and the mechanisms for its introduction. The main goal of the new system is to improve the quality of preschool education, provide parents with the opportunity to freely choose a kindergarten, and ensure the transparency of state financing.
The meeting was attended by about 70 heads of kindergartens from Semey city. In total, there are 176 kindergartens in Abay region, of which 85 are private. There are 71 kindergartens operating in Semey city, 56 of which are privately owned. The new financing system covers all of these kindergartens.
Representatives of the Financial Center JSC and the Indigo information system, who arrived from Astana specifically, attended the event and made a report on the features and advantages of the voucher financing system. They explained how the new system will affect the quality of preschool education and answered the participants' questions.
As a result of the meeting, the participants received comprehensive information on the transition to the new system and exchanged experiences. This change is aimed at improving the quality of preschool education and creating favorable conditions for parents.
