An exhibition dedicated to the City Day was held at the special boarding school No. 1. Employees of the Karaganda regional museum of local history and lore selected the exposition so that children with visual impairments could get acquainted with each object.
At the exhibition at the boarding school No. 1, the children were presented with a collection of objects closely related to the emergence and development of Karaganda: a cast-iron hammer, a miner's helmet, a lump of coal. The exposition included items belonging to Karaganda residents who participated in the Great Patriotic War, as well as household items of the first builders: a hiking cauldron, a kerosene lamp, and many others.
The children had access to all the exhibits.
Before the exhibition, a ceremony was held to introduce schoolchildren to the history of Karaganda.
- After the exhibition, we talked with the children and asked them if they liked it. The children gained new experience and strengthened their knowledge of the history of their native city. We can say that they consolidated what they had learned in history lessons, - said Aitzhamal Ibraeva, deputy director for educational work of special boarding school No. 1.
The exhibition "The Magnificent City of the Ark - Karaganda" was organized within the framework of the museum project "Art for All". Its essence is to hold mobile events adapted to the needs and capabilities of different people.
The Karaganda Regional Museum of Local Lore held a mobile exhibition dedicated to the City Day at the Yu. Pavlov comprehensive school.
