In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State to provide 100% of the population with clean drinking water, 30 projects for a total amount of 60 billion tenge were implemented in the region in 2024. Of these, 12 projects were completed.
As a result, about three and a half thousand people gained access to clean drinking water.
- As a result of the year, 213.8 kilometers of water supply networks and 14.5 kilometers of sewage networks were built. This made it possible to reduce the wear rate of water networks to 49.1% and the wear rate of sewage networks to 69.7%. The region's population has access to drinking water at 99.4%, - said Deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region Bakytzhan Bayakhmetov.
According to him, this year 29 projects are being implemented for a total cost of 65.2 billion tenge.
It is also planned to reconstruct 531.6 kilometers of water networks. This will reduce the wear rate by 1.8% (to the planned 47.3%).
