The program to provide the population with 100% quality drinking water will be completed in Kazakhstan this year. By the end of the year, the problem of drinking water will be completely resolved in all cities and villages of the country. For this, 45 projects are being implemented in the Akmola region, which provide for the construction and reconstruction of more than 400 kilometers of water pipelines. Water supply works in the settlements near Astana are being completed, and if the last 4 projects are implemented, the indicator will reach 100 percent.
"This year, it is planned to complete the projects being implemented in the Stantsionny settlement near the regional center, as well as in the cities of Kosshy, Makinsk and Ereymentau. Significant funds have been allocated from the district and regional budgets for the implementation of these projects," said Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov.
Providing drinking water to the population in rural settlements is of great importance. At the same time, water supply networks will be built in 37 villages this year.
"In order to provide rural residents with food, it is planned to build water supply networks in 37 villages this year. In addition, complex block modules for water purification will be installed," the speaker added.
As a result of the implementation of these projects, more than 12 thousand Akmola residents will be provided with clean drinking water. In addition, by the end of the year, it is planned to implement 70 projects aimed at reducing the deterioration of water supply and drainage systems in the region.
