The V plenum of the Veterans Council of the Almaty district was held in Astana. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Veterans Council of the Astana city Sansyzbay Yesilov, the Mayor of the Almaty district Rustem Tauekelov, the deputy of the Maslikhat of the Astana city, the chairman of the Almaty district branch of the "AMANAT" party Azamat Aitkozhin, and the deputies of the Maslikhat of the Astana city and members of the Veterans Council of the district, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
After a minute of silence in memory of the deceased veterans, the plenum session was opened by the Chairman of the Veterans Council of the Almaty district Marat Mustafin, who made a report on the work of the Veterans Council of the district in 2024 and the tasks for 2025.
“Last year, there were many important events in the life of our country. However, our veterans fulfilled the tasks set with honor. Last year, the number of pensioners in our Almaty district reached 36 thousand. More than 8 thousand of them are members of the Veterans Council of the Almaty district, and 66 are integrated into primary veterans' organizations. The District Veterans Council includes 4 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and 267 home front veterans. Four of them were awarded for their outstanding service to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 4 people received the “Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan” award,” said Marat Karimuly, after which the discussion began and other participants were given the floor.
Thus, the agenda included issues such as transferring the new chairmanship of the primary organizations of veterans to the newly established Sarayshik district and their exclusion from the membership of the Almaty district veterans’ council, summarizing the results of the work of the veterans’ council in 2024 and approving the tasks for 2025.
