Since the beginning of the winter season, the capital's public utilities have been working around the clock. Snow removal work continues in the city day and night, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On February 14, 2,557 road workers and 1,274 units of special equipment were mobilized for snow removal during the day shift.
On the night of the 14th, more than 28 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital to snow dumps by 2,117 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 5.7 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city by 465,703 heavy trucks.
First of all, according to the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow dump sites in the city. They are equipped with a license plate reading system for dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
In case of an emergency, please call "112".
