As part of the work carried out by the Ministry of Energy in ensuring the creation of an effective system for the development of domestic value in large oil and gas projects, a seminar of KAZSERVICE and NCOC "Local content in goods: Strategic development of the country and industry" was held in Astana today
The event was attended by representatives of more than 80 domestic producers and suppliers of works (services), the IMB Center and public associations.
During the speech, Vice Minister K. Arymbek noted the work carried out jointly with NCOC on a regular basis to increase domestic value and support
domestic producers in the procurement of goods, works and services,
used for the purposes of subsurface use.
One of the results of the work carried out is the 5 contracts signed by NCOC in May this year with domestic manufacturers of goods and suppliers of works (services) for a total amount of about 78 million US dollars for purchased oil and gas equipment and goods, as well as within the framework of the "Open Days" of three large oil and gas projects held in July this year in Atyrau For the oil and gas equipment they purchase, 23 Memoranda on further cooperation have been signed between NCOC and Kazakhstani producers of goods, as a result of which 8 contracts have been concluded for a total amount of more than 124 million US dollars.
In addition, K.Arymbek informed about the ongoing work on the revision of the Program for the Development of domestic Value in goods, works and services, which provides tools and mechanisms in the procurement process aimed at stimulating and supporting the Kazakh supplier of works and services, concluding long-term contracts and offtake contracts with domestic producers, stimulating the localization of goods production in the the territories of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other areas of support for domestic producers.
To date, work continues on the development of changes and additions to the Tender procedures, with a focus on fixing specific indicators and simplifying access for domestic producers of oil and gas equipment
