The national team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations consisting of 1 man and 9 women participates in the final of the World Cup in hand-to-hand combat "Cup of the Minister of Defense" among men and women. The tournament takes place from November 21 to 23, 2024, at the Zh. Ushkempirov sports complex in Astana.
Competitions of this level are held in Kazakhstan for the first time in history, more than 200 athletes from 15 countries take part. The World Cup is organized by the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Association of Hand-to-hand Combat of the country. Athletes will compete in 10 weight categories in the disciplines of "Duel", "Self-defense" and "Self-defense 1 + 1".
The national team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan will compete in the weight category of 67 kg among men and in the weight category from 48 to over 70 kg among women. The team consists of prize-winners and champions of the world, Asia and Europe in hand-to-hand combat.
