Currently, procedures are underway to extend (renew) the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on Trade and economic cooperation in the field of oil and petroleum products Supplies to the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 9, 2010 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement).
As part of the Agreement on the Supply of Oil and Petroleum Products, it is possible to import Russian petroleum products on duty-free terms.
In this regard, a corresponding draft resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been prepared for the signing of a Protocol on the resumption of the Agreement (from January 1, 2024 to January 1, 2028).
The draft Agreement is published on the Open NPAs portal.
