The capital's Department of Emergency Situations held the Kys-2024 RCSH on November 21, the official website of the city akimat reports.
The Kys-2024 exercises were organized in preparation for the winter period.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the capital, together with local executive bodies, conducted a work-out of actions in winter conditions during the event. In addition, the department's staff worked out emergency rescue and search and rescue operations with the involvement of a cynological team.
During the exercise, the readiness of the emergency response unit and equipment used in winter was checked. The planned exercises were conducted according to several scenarios: accidents on the heating main and power grids, evacuation of people from the bus in a snow drift.
During the large-scale exercises, 33 units of engineering equipment and 107 personnel were involved.
"All the results on the set goals have been achieved, the necessary practical measures have been worked out. The results of the exercises showed that the state civil protection system of Astana is on an ongoing basis to eliminate the consequences of emergencies in winter," said Yerkin Kashkanov, Head of the Emergency Response Department of the Astana Department of Emergency Situations.
