As part of the campaign, employees of the Emergency Department of the Zhetisu region carried out large-scale preventive work, the purpose of which is to prevent accidents, prevent injury and death of people during winter fishing.
Since the beginning of the autumn-winter fishing, employees of the Department of Emergency Situations, the police and the Forestry and Wildlife Inspectorate have carried out more than 300 patrols and raids with the distribution of 780 pieces of propaganda materials, 250 briefings on compliance with the Rules of conduct on reservoirs in winter (ice).
Ice fishing with a thickness of less than 25 cm is allowed in the presence of individual life-saving equipment (whistle, lifejacket, life jacket, rope with a diameter of at least 11 millimeters, a length of at least 12 meters, a stick with a length of at least 2 meters, a mobile phone in a waterproof bag), and it is also not allowed to go out on the ice in the dark during the day, with poor visibility and during freezing and ice melting. Also, when on the ice, it is prohibited:
- go out on thin and fragile areas of ice;
- gather in groups on separate sections of ice;
- approach gullies, cracks, ice holes;
- to travel by car outside the crossings;
- go out on the ice at night and in poor visibility;
- punch more than two holes in a limited area;
- make a fire.
Do not forget that in case of non-compliance with these Rules, administrative action will be applied against violators under Article 412 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Violation or non-compliance with safety rules in reservoirs".
