Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and vice-ministers arrived in the Turkestan region on a working visit. During the visit, they visited the library point in the Kuanysh shopping center, opened under the Library on the Market project, and got acquainted with its work. Deputy Akim of the region Beisenbai Tazhibayev noted that the main goal of the project is to help entrepreneurs develop their business, promote their personal growth and create creative ideas. He also stressed that the project is being implemented in other districts and cities.
Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtai Sabilianov spoke about the preparation of a draft law on granting the city of Turkestan a special status. He noted that this project, implemented for the first time in the country, can become an example for other regions. The head of the shopping center, deputy of the regional maslikhat Inara Namazbayeva said that the library is in great demand among buyers and individual entrepreneurs, and the number of visitors is constantly growing. According to the director of the regional library, Zhanat Shardarbekova, about 10 thousand people have already used the library's services. Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Temir Kyrykbayev, Deputy head of the Department of Culture of the Turkestan region Yerzhan Isatayev and Akim of Turkestan Azimbek Pazylbekuly highly appreciated the work of the library.
The library point, opened on behalf of the regional akimat, has a fund of about 3 thousand books, including fiction, works for business development and world bestsellers. There are also books for children. The assortment is regularly updated in accordance with the requests of readers, including bookshelves and periodicals. The purpose of the library is to provide access to knowledge and the exchange of cultural values.
It should be noted that the project "Ashyk akimdiktegi – ashyk kitaphana" is also being implemented in the region, within the framework of which libraries are open in all akimats of the region. In addition, library corners are being created in mosques and madrassas. Such libraries create comfortable reading conditions, strengthen communication with readers and help visitors spend time usefully.
