The regional competition "Babalar dasturi – tarbienin bastauy" was held in Turkestan. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Akim of the region Yertai Altaev, who stressed the importance of the competition in popularizing national values and wished the participants success.
– As you know, the Kazakh people are one of the richest in the world in terms of traditions and customs. We decided to hold this competition, which has an important educational value, annually. It continues its development in all districts and cities of the region, becoming a national patriotic event that shows young people an example to follow. Promoting the wise heritage of our ancestors among the youth is an inherent duty of each of us. Therefore, today's competition is of great importance. Let there be more such projects glorifying our customs and traditions," Yertai Kenzhebekuly said.
20 teams from districts and cities of the region took part in the competition. The traditions of the ancestors are the spiritual foundation of the people, the support of their culture and language. To promote these values, the jury evaluated the teams in two stages. In the first stage, the participants presented theatrical productions dedicated to forgotten traditions, as well as youth education, family values, everyday life and labor customs, which play an important role in strengthening the unity of the nation.
The teams profoundly and creatively presented national traditions, revealing their significance to the jury and the audience. In the second stage, the participants demonstrated respect for national values. According to the results of the competition, the Grand Prix was won by a team from the city of Arys. The first place was shared by the teams of Kazygurt and Tolebi districts, the second place was taken by teams from Turkestan, Shardara and Saryagash districts, the third place was taken by Zhetysai, Sozak and Tulkubas districts. The winners of the competition were awarded cash prizes.
It should be noted that the purpose of the competition, organized with the support of the Akimat of the region, is to revive forgotten traditions and instill in young people the wisdom of the Kazakh word. The competition is held for the second time on the initiative of the Council of Elders of the Turkestan region. The event was organized by the public foundation "Serpilis".
