TURKESTAN: A NEW SPORTS COMPLEX HAS BEEN OPENED IN ORDABASI DISTRICT

A modern sports and recreation complex has been opened in the village of Badam in Ordabasyn district of Turkestan region. Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy attended the opening ceremony and congratulated the residents.
– In our region, work is actively underway to improve the infrastructure of rural settlements. New educational, medical, sports and cultural facilities are being built. Today we are opening a sports complex. I think this is a significant support for you, especially for young people. May the athletes who will train here glorify Kazakhstan at the world level! Darkhan Satybaldy noted after visiting the complex and meeting with athletes and coaches.
The cost of the project amounted to 1,132,223.6 thousand tenge. The land area is 1.5 hectares, and the construction area is 2488.59 square meters. The construction of the facility was carried out by Karatau LTD.
The modern sports and recreation complex provides opportunities for practicing Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, sambo, judo and boxing. It is also possible to practice team sports such as basketball, volleyball and handball. The complex is designed for 210 seats.
The villagers and elders expressed gratitude for the construction of the sports complex and discussed with the governor of the region ways of further development of the region. The complex became the location of the regional children's and youth sports school No. 1 named after Kazhymukan. At the moment, about 1,000 children are training at this school.
