The regional campaign "tarikhyndin Tany – respect your person" was organized by librarians of the Satpayev rural house of culture of Karakay rural district of zhetysai district.
The project, implemented on the initiative of the Turkestan regional universal scientific library "Farab", was attended by Deputy akim of the district Turyshbek Yelshibayev and the head of the Department of culture, language development, Physical Culture and sports Yerkebulan Seydaliyev, guests from Saryagash district, in order to strengthen the partnership between rural libraries, to introduce to the younger generation the ancestors and patriotic, elzhan citizens who made a significant contribution to the development of various areas of their region, to popularize their sacred heritage.
During the event, an exhibition of books by local and domestic, world poets and writers was organized, and a concert program of artists of the district was presented. A meeting was held with the local teacher-poet Serzhan Kuldakovich.
It should be noted that today the district has 1 Central District Library, 1 Central children's library and 19 rural libraries. They cover 11,781 readers for 546 events held since the beginning of the year. Of the 337,390 books in libraries, 181,734 are Literature in the Kazakh language.
In addition, 50 monumental works of art and memorial plaques installed in the territories of cities, settlements, rural districts, 14 in Zhetysai, 36 in rural districts. 18 are dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, 32 are dedicated to public figures.
