This season, in order to improve the quality of rail transport, repair work has covered about 1,400 kilometers of railways. As of today, 1,352 km of roads have been repaired and 96% of the work has been completed. This was reported by the Committee of Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport.

Thus, most of the work covering all regions of the country concerned the following areas:
Aktogay – Semey – Altai (153 km),
Shu – Kandyagash (266 km),
Kandyagash – Aksaray (138 km),
Astana – Almaty (260 km),
Almaty – Pavlodar (106 km),
Zhana – Yesil – Kokshetau 161 km and other sections.

In general, major repairs are covered
569 km of railway roads, 181 km of complex repairs and 602 km of scheduled preventive maintenance. The season is over in the north of the country, and work is still underway in the southern regions.

In 2025, it is planned to repair another 1,480 kilometers of railways.
