In the Karaganda regional Children's Library named after Abai, the winners of the video reporting contest "Karagandynyn oshpes esimderi" were awarded for the 90th anniversary of the regional center. Schoolchildren and students aged 14-15 from Karaganda, Sarani, Abai, Shakhtinsk, Priozersk, Temirtau, Bukhar-Zhyrau, Karkaralinsky and Osakarovsky districts competed.
"The idea of the competition was aimed at instilling in children an interest in local history through knowledge of the history of Karaganda and the creation of video reports about people who have made a significant contribution to the development of the city," the library says.
The jury selected the best of the 30 video reports submitted to the competition.
The first place was taken by Zhibek Kaldybai, a student of the Karaganda school-lyceum named after I. Altynsarin. The second was a student of S. Toraighyrov school in Bukhar-Zhyrau district, Saken Zhuman. The third place was shared by students of Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College Alexandra Krivaya and Anara Adambai from the Tattimbet College of Arts in Karaganda.
– I liked the contest very much, it was not difficult. I like to tell people something, find information and share it. Perhaps in the future I will become a journalist," says Alexander Krivaya, a prize–winner.
The winners in the nominations were:
- "Creative idea" – Pavel Merts (Support Center for Children with Special educational needs, Karaganda);
- "The best video" – Ernur Sermakhanov (G. Mustafin School, Temirtau);
- "The best technical solution" – Aizara Omirbek (secondary school No. 85, Karaganda);
- "Master of the disclosure of the topic" – Inkar Omirbek (Zh. Akbayev school, Karaganda).
The video of Bagym Zharkimbekova, a student of Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College, was in the lead in the Audience Award nomination. Her creative work has received the largest number of views on YouTube, on the channel of the children's library named after her. Abaya, – 2381.
The winners received prizes, the rest of the participants were awarded certificates, and their managers received letters of thanks.
