Pupils of the Karaganda Nazarbayev Intellectual School won 10 medals at the annual republican Olympiad "Kazakhstan Bilim Olympiads". It was attended by students of grades 9-11 (12). They demonstrated their knowledge in one of six fields: mathematics, chemistry, physics, computer science, geography and biology.
According to the results of all rounds, three gold medalists are a student of the 12th grade Amirkhan Sandybaev (biology), a tenth–grader Alidar Aitzhanov (chemistry) and a tenth-grader Artur Stroh (geography).
– It took me about three years to prepare for this Olympiad. The tasks were interesting, but also very difficult at the same time. I would call the most interesting task, the condition of which was based on the anime One Piece. And in the most difficult task, the description of organic compounds and their reactions with each other was given, and it was necessary to guess what these substances were, – said the young chemist Alidar Aitzhanov.
The tenth grader is already preparing to enter Nazarbayev University, where he plans to continue studying chemistry.
Silver medals were awarded to eleventh-grader Adil Amirzhanov (mathematics), 12th-grade student Talgat Babusunov (geography), eleventh-graders Diaz Gaini (geography) and Batyr Yerdenov (computer science).
Ninth-grader Evgenia Mezhenina (biology), tenth-grader Sabina Yeralieva (chemistry) and 11th-grade student Daniyal Oryshan (mathematics) won bronze.
