At the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, more than two thousand vacancies were presented at the Career START job fair, from companies such as Azimut Geology, Shubarkol, Qarmet, BI Group, Kurylysexpert Project, QazTehna, Maker-KLMZ and others. More than one and a half thousand fourth and fifth year students, as well as graduates, were able to communicate directly with employers and receive useful recommendations on preparing for interviews.
Directors of 18 large companies have already expressed their willingness to offer internships with the possibility of employment.
"Such job fairs for undergraduates and graduates are a great opportunity to find a job in their specialty," says Nurzhan Syzdykov, head of the Center for Labor Mobility in the Karaganda region. – On the spot, it was possible to talk with a potential employer, find out the specifics of working at the enterprise, negotiate conditions and wages.
Silk Road Electronics was popular. 21 applications have already been submitted for internship with subsequent employment at the Sarani plant.
Vladislav Sivtsov, a fourth-year student majoring in industrial Economics, considers the fair an excellent opportunity to establish contacts with potential employers.
– I came to find a job in my specialty. I am interested in consulting, financial analytics, and economics. I would like to receive a decent salary, so that there is enough for life, family, and my plans. Such fairs are necessary so that students know what job opportunities there are. This is a great chance to establish contact directly with the employer, to prove yourself, – Vladislav believes.
The organizers noted that job fairs will continue to be held in the future to help students find work in their chosen specialty.
