This year Zhambyl region celebrates its 85th anniversary. The opening of new industrial and social facilities, high rates of economic growth - residents are witnessing great and positive changes in the life of the region.
Anniversary events with the visit of famous countrymen have been held since the beginning of the year in all districts and the regional center.
A solemn meeting on the occasion of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the region was held in the exhibition pavilion of the historical and cultural complex "Ancient Taraz".
Statesmen and public figures, scientists, cultural figures - famous natives of the Aulieatinsk land - came from different parts of the country to share the joy of the holiday.
At first, the guests were greeted in an improvised town of white yurts. Each of them presented colorful Kazakh costumes, a variety of national dishes, demonstrated traditions and customs, musical arts and crafts. The Regional Museum of Local Lore presented its exhibits in one of the yurts: gold jewelry found during the excavations of ancient Taraz, ceramics, copies of runic inscriptions.
Guests and residents were invited to watch a video made especially for the anniversary date. Stories were shown telling about significant events in the region, achievements in the economy, and successes in various fields.
Then there was a presentation of books dedicated to the history and spiritual heritage of the region. With the support of the akimat of the region, the books "Taraz orkeniyet orimderin kuageri", "Karakhan men Aisha: gylym derekter men anyzdar" were published. Books by Russian writers have also been released.
Governor of Zhambyl region Erbol Karashukeyev, congratulating everyone on a significant event, noted that over the past years the region has overcome a difficult path and reached significant heights.
The Karakhanid state once triumphed on the sacred land of Aulieatinsk, the foundation of the Kazakh Khanate was laid. The chronicle of Zhambyl land includes many memorable and heroic events, names that glorified our region.
And today the region contributes to the development of the economy, spiritual and cultural enrichment of the country.
The region, named after the great Zhambyl Zhabayev, is proud of its outstanding scientists, talented poets, writers, skilled artisans, invincible batyrs, workers.
Our region has not only a great past, but also a great future, because hardworking people live in it, who make a significant contribution to its development every day, - said Erbol Karashukeyev.
During the award ceremony on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the formation of the region, by decree of the President of the country, representatives of various industries were awarded state awards, including the Order of Parasat, the Order of Kurmet, the Order of Enbek Danki of the III degree, the medal "Yeren Yenbegi ushin", in addition, Letters of Thanks from the President of the country.
Residents who demonstrated high professionalism and responsible attitude to work were also awarded badges of "Obliska sinirgen enbegi usin", Certificates of Honor, Letters of Thanks from the akim of Zhambyl region.
Awards were presented to 28 residents, including labor veterans, teachers and doctors, farmers, military personnel, rescuers, police officers, utility workers, cultural figures, representatives of ethnic and cultural associations.
The head of the region also presented awards to the winners and prize-winners of the republican contests among akyns, composers, artists and artisans "Tugan olkem - Zhambylym!" organized as part of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the region.
According to the results of the Days of culture "Madeniyet – asyl kazynam", the best creative teams were awarded. The Baizak and Sarysu districts were located in the III place (special equipment was handed over). Zhambyl district took the second place, Talas district - the first place. Minibuses were presented to the creative teams of these districts.
The event ended with a festive concert.
