The 29th General Assembly of the European Network (ENAEE)
Important events organized by the Central Asian Association for Educational Accreditation (CAAAE) took place at Satbayev University and the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). Within their framework, the International Workshop "Requirements for accreditation agencies of the ENAEE network" and the 29th General Assembly of ENAEE were held.
The General Assembly was attended by the first heads of 16 accreditation agencies from 15 countries, such as Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and others, as well as domestic international experts in the field of quality assurance of engineering education.
The meeting was opened by the rector of Satbayev University M.Begentaev, who noted the importance of the university's participation in international accreditation and expressed confidence that this contributes to the successful careers of students and improving the quality of engineering education in the region. The Rector also stressed the importance of EUR-ACE accreditation as an important tool to ensure a high level of training for engineers.
In his speech, ENAEE President Jose Carlos Quadado stressed the importance of further strengthening international cooperation and developing accreditation of engineering education programs throughout Europe and beyond. He noted that he will continue to work on expanding and deepening cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia, opening up new career opportunities for students in the region.
Professor Jose Carlos Quadado is the chief architect of a number of large–scale projects aimed at improving the accreditation of engineering educational programs, especially in Central Asia. In turn, ENAEE events play an important role in the integration of Europe and Central Asia, providing a platform for the exchange of experience and the growth of the quality of engineering education.
