Self-defense trainings for women started in Kazakhstan

Within the framework of the International campaign "16 active days against violence", self-defense trainings for women have started in Kazakhstan. They are organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UN Women structure in Kazakhstan.
The first training was held in Kyzylorda. 50 women took part. The experts work according to the international methodology of "Empowerment through Self-Defense". The training takes place in an interactive format. During the training, participants will be able to master self-defense tactics, learn to understand the psychology of violence, and recognize dangerous signals.
Such self-defense trainings are also planned in Astana, Shymkent, Turkestan and Kosshy.
