A QH Rehabilitation Center has been opened in Karaganda on the basis of a multidisciplinary regional children's hospital.
This is the first medical facility in the region where children with neuro-orthopedic disorders will receive assistance.
The center will be able to receive up to 600 children each year.
Rehabilitation treatment for young patients will be free of charge – at the expense of the MSHI system.
Special attention is paid to the training of specialists.
A multidisciplinary team has been formed to work with children, which includes neurologists, rehabilitologists, speech therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, physical therapy instructors and occupational therapists.
All of them have received special training.
An individual program will be developed for each child to help them recover and socialize as effectively as possible.
It is worth noting that for almost a year the regional hospital has been operating an Early Intervention Center for children from 3 months to 3 years old. In the new center, comprehensive rehabilitation will be available to residents of the region with disabilities from 3 to 18 years old.
– We have all the necessary equipment for this. These include various verticals depending on the age and height of the child. All specialists are trained. They were trained at our hospital, went to Astana, Kostanay. We are constantly improving the qualifications of doctors so that the quality of rehabilitation is at its best," says Nina Derkach, deputy director of the regional children's hospital.
There are already early successes in the Early Intervention Center. This is confirmed by the parents of special children.
– We came here when my daughter Alfie was 7 months old. She couldn't hold her head up. They underwent a course of treatment here. Upon completion, my daughter learned to hold her head confidently. Here we received high–quality treatment for free," shared Dinara Karina, the mother of the little patient.
Deputy Akim of Karaganda region Oraz Taurbekov visited the opening of the new center. He noted that the specialists of the medical institution will help improve the quality of life of children with special needs.
The center was opened thanks to the joint efforts of the state represented by local executive bodies, partners of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation and philanthropic companies.
An important contribution to the implementation of the project was made by the Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), which provided financial assistance, as well as the KF "Kamkorlyk Kory" organized training of specialists and equipping with modern equipment.
With the support of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation, it is planned to open 25 rehabilitation centers for children with special needs in all regions of the country within the framework of charity programs.
The first of them is already operating in Zhezkazgan, and in the coming days it is planned to open similar institutions in the Pavlodar region and Shymkent.
