The opening ceremony of the Kazakh Kuresi World Cup among adults for the prizes of Kazhymukan Munaitpasuly took place in Turkestan. The competitions "Turan barysy", "Kazakhstan barysy", "Eurasia barysy" and "Alem Barysy", organized and held at a high level over the next ten years, are also popular with viewers today. All these events make a great contribution to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population, the preservation of sports traditions and customs," Yertai Kenzhebekuly said.
About 150 athletes from 9 countries took part in the competitions at the Olympik center sports complex: Kazakhstan, Georgia, Poland, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Azerbaijan and Mongolia.
According to the program for the prizes of the hero of the Kazakh steppe Kazhymukan Munaitpasuly, the wrestlers competed 55, 60, 66, 74, 82, 90, 100, +100 kg in the weight category.
A financial prize is provided for the winners and prize-winners. In particular, the winners of the World Cup will be awarded certificates in the amount of 500 thousand tenge, silver and bronze medalists-300 and 200 thousand tenge, respectively. There is also a cash prize for the winning coaches.
It should be noted that currently, Kazakh Wrestling Federations have been established in more than 40 countries around the world. To date, 10 world championships in Kazakh wrestling, 12 Asian championships, 6 World Cups and 6 European championships have been held, and our wrestling has reached a new level of development.
