In Almaty, on behalf of the mayor of the city, Yerbolat Dosayev, 100 more buses for transporting schoolchildren were purchased within the framework of the School Bus project. It is expected that, taking into account the new school buses, transportation will be provided for 14 thousand children. Buses will go on routes as applications are received from schools where children living in remote and hard-to-reach areas study. This is one of the priorities according to which school buses are allocated. Detailed itinerary sheets have been developed for each school to ensure the transportation of students.
The Department of Urban Mobility has purchased Yutong buses of domestic production. The buses comply with safety standards, are equipped with emergency exits and are equipped with comfortable seats, compartments for backpacks, a ramp for children with special needs. The vehicle is designed for 21 seats.
Recall that last year, for the first time, a large-scale project was implemented in Almaty to provide school buses for free transportation of school-age children from their place of residence to an educational institution and back. Then, with the support of the project office of the Mayor's Office of the city, 100 buses were launched covering more than 6 thousand children.
