The loan agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development was concluded on October 11, 2024.
The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development provides a loan in the amount of about 84.9 billion rubles. Japanese yen on preferential terms, with a maturity of 11 years, including a 5-year grace period.
The loan will be serviced and repaid at the expense of the republican budget in accordance with the financial conditions set out in the Loan Agreement.
These funds will be used to finance priority activities provided for in the Financing Plan by the end of this year, including financing transport infrastructure, industry, education and other priority areas.
