A number of industrial enterprises have started their work in the Special Economic Zone" TURAN". The investment portfolio of the unique platform for the development of Turkestan as an industrial and Investment Center currently includes млрд 550 billion. there are 137 projects worth tenge. They will increase the production potential of the country and contribute to the diversification of the regional economy. A number of such important projects were presented to the media as part of an organized press tour.
First of all, the journalists visited PSI Mineral Technologies LLP – a plant for the production of heavy equipment for the mining and metallurgical complex. This project attracted investments in the amount of 8.33 billion tenge. It is expected that 200 people will be employed when the project is fully launched. Already, 95% of local residents, that is, residents of the Turkestan region, are involved in the construction of the plant. In addition to the factory building, a dormitory for workers with a dining room and 120 bedrooms is being built here.
During the press tour, journalists got acquainted with Altyn Dala cotton LLP – a plant for the production of PVC pipes. This project, which is being implemented in the amount of 6.7 billion tenge, has a high production capacity in the future. Today the plant produces pipes for drip irrigation.
As part of the press tour, the correspondents visited Turkestan cotton-agro-industrial complex LLP – a major project to create a cotton cluster. The cost of the project, which will be implemented next year, will amount to 146.8 billion tenge. As part of the full-cycle textile factory, 11 workshops for spinning, fabric production, dyeing and processing will be built. More than 2000 new jobs will be created. The plan is to produce 13,000 tons of yarn per year, 50 million meters of textiles for the home, and 7 million sets of bedding. The capacity of the production facility increases every year.
The construction of the production facility, focused on the development of cotton and textile cluster, was carried out by Xinjiang Lihua Group Co. The Company, LTD. took over. The company works directly with the world-famous brands "Louis Vuitton", "Gucci". In the future, it intends to sell threads and fabrics produced in Turkestan to famous brands.
The projects implemented within the framework of the SEZ" TURAN " will play an important role in reducing the unemployment rate in the region and increasing the production potential of the region. These projects are an effective step towards diversifying the country's economy and attracting investment.
In general, the Special Economic Zone" TURAN " was established in 2018 in accordance with the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 693. The main mission of the region is to increase the economic and investment potential of Turkestan, make it the spiritual and business center of the Turkic world. The total area of the SEZ" TURAN " is 3987 hectares and consists of 6 Main and secondary zones.
