Intensive work is underway in the Turkestan region to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State to attract investments. Since the beginning of the year, 888.5 billion tenge of investments have been received in the region, which is 17.7% more than in the same period last year. And the volume of foreign direct investment has reached $685 million, the annual plan has already been exceeded by more than 1.5 times. This was announced at a press conference in the Central Communications Service by Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy.
"In order to attract investments and exchange experience, important negotiations were held with the largest international giant companies, visits of Turkestan entrepreneurs to China, Russia, Australia, Uzbekistan, Qatar and South Korea were organized. As a result, the implementation of six investment projects with the participation of foreign capital with a total value of 910 million US dollars has been launched. In addition, representatives of 127 foreign companies were invited to Turkestan in October, 35 memoranda were signed with the attraction of 301 billion tenge of investments," the head of the region said.
Within the framework of agreements with foreign investors, work has begun on the opening of enterprises for the production of drones, video cameras, medical furniture, and household appliances.
Projects for the construction of an industrial greenhouse complex, factories for the production of aluminum products, industrial refrigerators, caustic soda, PVC, calcium carbide, lime cement are being implemented in the region. A phosphorous ore processing plant and an oil refinery are under construction. In the future, Turkestan factories will provide products not only to the country, but also to export them abroad.
In addition, factories for the production of household appliances, vegetable oil, gas installations, elevators, military tents, sanitary ware, sandwich panels, and beverages will open in the industrial zones in the near future.
A pool of 145 significant investment projects in the fields of energy, agro-industrial complex, production, processing and tourism has been formed in the region. Thanks to their implementation, more than 20 thousand jobs will be created, and budget revenues will increase by 100 billion tenge. Of these, 31 investment projects worth 86 billion tenge have been launched to date, and more than 1,300 jobs have been created.
